Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Brussel Sprouts, or Sprouts for short! She is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'roll over', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Sprouts is a cutie with the best underbite. Sometimes her little bottom teeth stick out from her lip. She originally came from an overcrowded TX shelter where she spent 1/2 her life. So she is still learning the ropes on how to be the best dog she can be. Once she knows you, you are hers for life. She appreciates slower introductions and chin scratches more than over the head pets. When it comes to other dogs, Brussel Sprouts can be selective. You can tell she wants to be friends with most dogs.. but acts as if she isn't sure how to interact appropriately. She does better with calmer female dogs. We will do a dog meet with any potential new siblings. She does have the tendency to protect what she thinks is hers. Sometimes it's a ball, sometimes it's a treat. This is something the PACK program has consistently worked on with her, but will need lifelong management. She seems to be potty trained and does ok in the kennel. Although she'd prefer to not be kenneled! We can introduce Sprouts to cats again once she graduates. She was a bit barky around them before. We just know someone is out there that needs a bit more vegetables to their life! Why not add Brussel Sprouts to the mix? She just needs someone to be consistent with her and show her how to act in the big world. She'll graduate in the middle part of May. Apply to meet her today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Pete is a young, happy boy who loves to cuddle! Pete does well with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, and loves to spend time out in the yard running and playing with his foster sister. He won’t hesitate to steal your seat when you get up and will be waiting for you to come back so he can give you a kiss! Pete does well on a leash but could use some more confidence when he’s out and about. He’s also very food motivated and quick to pick up new tricks! Petey would benefit from an active home with structure, where he can continue his training and learn more about how to be a confident boy. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bessie May is looking for a FOSTER or FOREVER home Bessie May- a sweet girl with loads of love to give. She is a higher energy dog when she wants to be and is very excitable. This makes her jump in greeting so she may be better in a home with bigger children. She is a fast learner but could use someone with the time to help her with her manners when she’s excited. Otherwise she’s more than willing to curl up on the couch with you and relax, she has a pretty good on off switch. She is attached at the hip and will bark when you leave but isn’t loud for too long and has never been destructive. She’s great with the cat and good with the other dogs but is still learning how to appropriately play and need supervision around high value toys and food. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org.
