Story
DOB: March 31, 2025 Meet Tweedledee, half of a charming bonded pair looking for a home together. Personality notes: - Gentle nature - He is playful, but on his own terms - He can be talkative, mainly to his brother Tweedledum - Still very shy and easily frightened, but slowly coming out of his shell Quirks: - Likes fast moving wand toys, crinkle toys and loves the laser pointer - He loves treats and will even swat it from your hand if you're too slow to give it - Will hiss to greet you, which makes you feel for the sweet little guy - He likes to be in the same room but at a distance Note from the foster family: Meet Tweedledee, a gentle, shy boy looking for a patient human who understands that the best things in life take time. Tweedledee hasn't had much experience with the human world yet; he isn't aggressive, just a little overwhelmed. He lives by the motto "hiss first, ask questions later," but don't let that fool you—it's just his way of being brave! The Way to His Heart: Food is the ultimate icebreaker! If you are the distributor of Churu or Chicken Temptations, you’ll find Tweedledee following you closely. Bonded for Life: He must be adopted with his brother, Tweedledum. Tweedledum is his security blanket; if they are separated, Tweedledee will cry out for him. They love to "chit-chat" together during playtime or to remind you when dinner is late. Social Life: He is happy to coexist with other friendly cats, but he truly treasures focused one-on-one playtime with his brother and fellow human. His Terms: While he may never be a cuddly lap cat, he will be your loyal companion, keeping you company from a comfortable "arms-length" distance once he trusts you. Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $192.50 per cat, versus our standard fee of $250 per adult cat.
We'll also keep you updated on Tweedledum's adoption status with email updates.

Story
DOB: March 31, 2025 Meet Tweedledum, half of a charming bonded pair looking for a home together. Personality notes: - Playful - Can be talkative (when it's meal time and towards his brother Tweedledee) - He is the braver of the pair, and will warm up more quickly: he is very affectionate when he wants to be - Not dominant: he seems to be submissive towards other cats, and very friendly with them - Gentle and calm natured boy - Like Tweedledee, still skittish but he has mostly gotten used to our presence and the noises Quirks: - Loves watching his YouTube bird TV - Loves the laser pointer and feather wand toys - Prefers Churu tubes over dry treats From the foster family: While Tweedledum is still a shy boy at heart, he is the slightly more courageous explorer of the pair. He acts as the "security blanket" for his brother, Tweedledee, and is often the first to decide that a new person might actually be okay. The Brave First Step: It takes a little time to earn his trust, but the reward is worth it. Once Tweedledum warms up to you, he loves to show his affection by rubbing against your legs—though he’d prefer to keep all four paws on the ground, he isn't a fan of being picked up! He also enjoys back scratches and some light brushing. A Protective Bond: He is deeply bonded with Tweedledee. If his brother isn't nearby, Tweedledum will cry out to find him. Because they rely on each other so much, they are looking for a special "forever home" that can welcome them both. His Love Language: Like his brother, he follows the "hiss first, ask questions later" rule when he's scared, but he is never aggressive. He’s just a sensitive guy looking for safety. He loves other friendly cats and is always down for a snack—Churu is the fastest way to his heart! The Perfect Match: We are looking for a patient owner who understands that love doesn't always mean constant cuddles. If you find joy in the "little moments"—like the first time he approaches you for a leg rub—then Tweedledum and Tweedledee will truly feel like home. Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $192.50 per cat, versus our standard fee of $250 per adult cat.

Story
A typical grey kitten, Wilbur loves belly rubs, being pet and snuggles. Part of a group of kitties who were surviving outdoors, he was the first to trust humans. He loves to join his siblings in any games and is very playful. He would be fine in a forever indoor home as the only kitty or with a friend. He's never been exposed to dogs or children, but would be fine when properly introduced. He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and will come with a voucher for his neuter at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the neuter surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!
