Hi, my name is Lucy,Female - SpayedBritish Short Hairapprox. 1 years oldHere's a little insight into my background and personality: I'm in search for my forever home! I love my independence, you can often find me exploring my surroundings and playing with my toys! But don't let that fool you, I love snuggling and being affectionate. Unfortunately at a year age a bit of my independence was taken away, I've been diagnosed with diabetes and require regular insulin injections to help me. Don't let this scare you though! With proper care I can live a very long and healthy life. Watching me thrive despite my condition can be the most incredibly rewarding.My reactions to:Cats - I would prefer not to have close interaction with other cats and would do best in a home as an only cat or have separationDogs - I don't have much interaction with dogs. I would likely do best in a home without a dogMeeting new people - I can be shy at first, possibly hiss or swat but I warm up fast. Something I even give headbonks and purrChildren - I don't have much interaction with children.Litterbox - I have no concerns using my litterbox.Stressful situation - I can be OK. I ride in the car with no issues and did very at my last vet examPlaytime - I enjoy playtime and chasing a laser pointer though I'm not interested in too many toys. Minnow is a beautiful three-year-old British shorthair mix. She is an indoor cat, weighting 9lbs. Like any tortie, she is strong willed and can be a little sassy at times, but she loves to play, run around the house, and is very affectionate and cuddly in the evenings! She loves attention and needs an owner who will often be home to spend quality time with her. Minnow can get easily overstimulated. She will sometimes nip and swat if she starts to feel uncomfortable (ex if anyone touches her stomach) or if she’s had too many pets. She means no harm but that said, she should go to a forever home with an experienced and undertanding pet owner. She hasn’t been exposed to dogs, kids or others cats, however, the vet has said another cat may be beneficial to her depending on the situation. Minnow will be rehomed with all of her supplies including water fountain, automatic feeder, litter box, toys, treats, kibble, litter disposal, carrier, play tunnel, window hammock, cat tower etc.
