Meet Charlie! This sweet boy and his sister Pup wound up at a shelter after their owner died in a tornado. These two love each other very much and would make any lucky family happy! Both have heart issues and can’t be overly active. They love to romp and wiggle nonetheless! Followed by a nice deep snooze. If you’re looking for a bonded pair of pups that will love you immensely and keep you laughing, these are the two for you!

Story
Hopper is a good boy with high energy and a playful spirit. He is always up for playing fetch with one of his beloved squeaky toys (that he will squeak incessantly until he has your full attention). We rescued Hopper in March of 2020, he was our Pandemic Pup, and he has been loved by our family since then including his “brother” Huckleberry, another Lab Mix that he shares his home with. Hopper unfortunately was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (a seizure disorder with unknown cause) that began in November of 2023. This is something that will need to be managed with medication and routine medical visits for the rest of Hopper’s life. Sadly, we are unable to continue to provide the care and support that Hopper needs and deserves to manage this medical condition because of financial restraints and having 2 young children to care for at home as well. Hopper is the good-est boy and our hearts our heavy with having to make this decision. Please reach out with any questions you may have.

She is a wonderful dog! This is very difficult for me to do. My husband and I separated. She and I went from living on 5 acres, to living in a small one bedroom apartment in Kansas City, Missouri.She is deserves a home with a yard. She loves to play fetch, tug-o-war, and playing in her kiddie pool. Pepper hasn’t been able to splash around since we moved here. Because of our location, we can only take short walks around our apartment complex. It’s really not fair to her. She does go to doggy daycare. At least she gets to socialize with other dogs and get some exercise while I am at work. Doggy Daycare is getting expensive for me though.She has her favorite Dinosaur squeaky toy. She doesn’t tear it apart or anything else for that matter.She is a snuggle bug. She likes to crawl under the covers and sleep with me.I have never taken her hunting but the way she chases butterflies and grasshoppers, she may be good at bird hunting. I just don’t know.I just want her to be HAPPY and free!!

Story
He’s pretty high energy & can be pretty skittish, but he’s never been aggressive. He’s a very sweet boy & LOVES everyone, we just have too much going on to keep him. He has a couple of fatty lumps on his chest/neck, nothing concerning or life threatening (normal for labs/lab mixes). Will provide some food & bed, as well as some other care bits and bobs we have for him. I don’t necessarily need the $10, I just want him to go to a good home where he can have the attention he needs/deserves. Located in Pittsburg KS (adopt a pet won’t let me change the zip code).
