Story
Cooper G here.  I am looking for my forever loving family.  I am  a 22 month old orange/white neutered 38 lb Brittany baby boy.  UTD on everything.  HW & tick neg.  On HW & tick prevention.   Crate trained, housebroken, and healthy. I would love to have a physical fenced  yard or wrought iron at least 5 ft tall.  I can jump a 4’ or get over a chain-link fence.  I would love to have lots of balls and toys.  I will fetch it for you, or I can run and play by myself.  I love squeakies.  I will run and toss them in the air and catch them.  I am a very happy affection boy.  I hope I am what you are looking for, I will be your best friend and confidant. From Foster MOM:  Cooper G is very sweet, loving, and affectionate.  He loves to play fetch with his ball but will also happily entertain himself outside by running around or playing with his squeaky toys.  He rarely barks, loves dogs, and everyone he meets.  He is one very amazing boy. The adoption fee for TX/Cooper G, who lives in Round Rock, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Cooper G part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Cooper G. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    May 1, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
Buddy is a sweet, but very shy liver and white 3 1/2 year old brittany. It takes a while for him to warm up to someone, but once he does, he is kind and affectionate. The best home for Buddy would be a patient home that has experience with bringing a shy, tramatized dog out of his shell.  Buddy is submissive and just needs a lot of love and reassurance.  His confidence has grown in the last few months, but he still has a way to go. Having a safe place is important. He likes to sleep in his crate with the door open, and is getting used to being in a closed crate when his people are away. Buddy is learning to play and play is an essential part of his ongoing training. He also requires a lot of exercise to build his physical and emotional state, so a yard is necessary for Buddy. He loves to be outside and a kiddie pool is his favorite in summer.  An older, calmer dog would be best, if there is another dog in the home. Buddy doesn't choose to interact until he feels entirely comfortable.  Buddy is very low energy. His requirements are small, a safe place, patience, play, and exercise. With these, he will continue to improve and soon become a normally adjusted dog and a wonderful addition to a family.  Please consider adopting Buddy. He's healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and microchipped. He weighs 32 pounds and is located in NW Georgia. Buddy can be transported up to 1400 miles to his new home, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. His adoption fee is $400. Please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name if you are interested in adopting him.  For any questions, please email Karen Carr at kecarr72@icloud.com or Jessica Stevenson at  jessica@thesouthernway.com May 1, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
Hello!  Allow me to introduce myself, Hunter Lee here.  I don’t like to brag but I am 3 ½ yrs old and 38 lbs of solid handsome liver/white Brittany.  My name might mean I am a hunter, but I know for sure that I can spot those sneaky birds and squirrels and keep them in line.  Because of them I need a 6 foot privacy fence.   I am a healthy boy who is neutered, housebroken, and am utd on vaccines, plus I am HW and tick negative and on prevention. I know my forever home is out there waiting for me and that I will be loved, cuddled, and spoiled rotten! I get along with dogs, kids, and love everyone. I want to be super close to my human(s), ‘cause I need to make sure you know how much I love you! The adoption fee for OK/Hunter Lee, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Hunter Lee part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Hunter Lee. Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption.  Meet Journey! Journey is a year old spayed female Brittany mix! She loves all people and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Journey does have some special medical needs, so keep reading to hear more about her story. This sweet girl is only a year old and has been through so much already. At just 6 months, she jumped from a moving golf cart and broke her hip. The owners got her on pain medication and called it good, before eventually deciding to surrender her to a local shelter much later. The shelter was able to get her in for X-Rays and found that she had fractured her hip. Because they are in a small town and have limited resources, the shelter reached out to us to take over Journey's medical care and get her the help she needs. Upon taking her to our vet, they noticed that since the incident had happened a while ago, her leg had actually started to heal itself. The femoral head had disintegrated and all the muscles and ligaments around it have tightened up to start the healing process. Because of this, the doctor thought it actually would be more invasive and cause more arthritis and pain to go in for surgery than it would to treat with medication and supplements. She is monitored closely daily and with some joint supplements and mild pain medication, she has done much better! She is putting more weight on that leg and actually getting to play with other dogs her size and exercise relatively normally! She will likely need to be on joint supplements and anti- inflammatory medication for the duration of her life, and it's possible she could need surgery in the future, but right now she is healing and not letting it get her down! Journey has so much life and love to give and we can't wait to see her find her furever family! If you would like to meet her, please fill out an application at kcpaws.org.  April 30, 2024, 8:40 am
