Story
QUICK FACTS Name: GloriaAge: 10 months oldBreed: Brittany Spaniel Gender: Female, SpayedWeight: 15 kg / 33.1 lbsColor: Chocolate Brown & WhiteRescue Level: Level 2 Rescue Dog   MY RESCUE STORY My story began at a dog breeding facility and slaughterhouse in Cheonan, South Korea, where I spent my early life in conditions no puppy should ever have to experience. Instead of growing up surrounded by love, care, and opportunities to explore the world, I lived in a confined and neglected environment, with very little chance to experience life beyond it. Even though I was still just a puppy myself, I had already experienced motherhood. Sadly, I had never been given the opportunity to learn how to care for puppies of my own. Growing up in such an isolated environment, I struggled to understand even the most basic parts of caring for newborns. Tragically, none of my puppies survived. It's heartbreaking to think about everything I went through at such a young age. But thankfully, my story didn't end there. I was rescued and finally given the chance to experience a world beyond the place where I had spent my early life. Now, I'm slowly discovering new things, meeting kind people, and learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Despite everything I've experienced, I've remained an incredibly gentle and trusting girl. My past may have been filled with things I never deserved, but my future can still be filled with all the love I've been missing.   MY HEALTH Spayed Vaccinations up-to-date Has previously given birth   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Gloria! I'm a beautiful Brittany Spaniel with a gorgeous chocolate-brown and white coat, soft amber-brown eyes, and an elegance that seems to leave everyone speechless. My rescuers say that when people meet me for the first time, they often can't help but say, "Wow, she's beautiful." And apparently, I'm even more stunning in person! But as lovely as I look, my personality is what truly makes me special. I'm an incredibly gentle, sweet, and good-natured girl who is still discovering what it means to be loved. Because I grew up with very little human interaction, I can be a little shy when meeting someone new. Sometimes I'm not quite sure what to expect when a person approaches me. But there's one thing that makes becoming my friend much easier: treats! I absolutely love food, and a few yummy snacks can help me feel comfortable surprisingly quickly. Once I realize you're someone I can trust, I begin to relax, accept affection, and look to you for reassurance. I'm still learning how to navigate the world, but I have such a gentle and trusting heart. Even when I'm unsure of something, I rarely make a fuss. My rescuers are constantly amazed by how patient and cooperative I am. I may not know much about the world yet, but I'm more than ready to learn what it feels like to be someone's beloved companion.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be slightly shy when meeting new people because I haven't had much experience with human interaction. However, I'm very food motivated and tend to warm up quickly with treats and gentle encouragement. Once I feel comfortable, I allow people to pet me and can be picked up with proper support. I have an exceptionally gentle temperament and am gradually learning to trust the people around me. · With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Calm and supervised introductions would be important. · With Dogs: I'm generally peaceful and polite around other dogs. I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don't usually initiate play and tend to show little interest in continued interaction. I'm comfortable being around other dogs without needing to constantly engage with them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave living with one. Because Brittany Spaniels are sporting dogs with natural hunting instincts, careful introductions and appropriate management would be especially important.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I currently have a moderate energy level and enjoy a comfortable balance of activity and relaxation. I like spending time outdoors, exploring, and experiencing new things. Once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest. However, I'm still only ten months old, and my energy level may change as I grow more confident and comfortable in a home environment. Brittany Spaniels are naturally athletic and intelligent sporting dogs, often known for their enthusiasm, stamina, and love of outdoor activities. Because of my breed background, I may eventually need more physical exercise and mental enrichment than my current behavior suggests. I'd love a family who enjoys spending time outdoors and is willing to help me discover the world at a comfortable pace.   MY WALKING SKILLS I'm currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I sometimes pull because there are so many unfamiliar sights and smells to explore, but overall, I follow my person well. Since I had very limited experiences before being rescued, walking in new environments can be a big learning opportunity for me. With patience, positive reinforcement, and consistent practice, I can continue developing confidence and better leash manners. As a Brittany Spaniel, I may also have a natural interest in birds, squirrels, and other small animals. My prey drive hasn't been fully evaluated, so my future family should be prepared to manage that possibility. For my safety, I'll need to remain securely leashed in unfenced areas while I continue learning.   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS Even though I'm still learning about everyday life, I already have some wonderful qualities. I'm incredibly gentle and cooperative when it comes to handling and grooming. My rescuers can trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, groom me, and trim the fur around my paw pads, and I patiently allow them to do so. I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs, even though I absolutely love treats! One thing my future family should know is that I can be quite vocal when food is involved. I sometimes bark to ask for treats or meals, so I'll benefit from positive training that helps me learn calmer ways to communicate. I may also whine when placed in a kennel, so patient crate training and positive associations will help me become more comfortable. When it comes to potty habits, I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. I'll need continued consistency and guidance as I adjust to a new home. Because I've spent most of my life in a confined environment, many everyday household routines will be completely new to me. But with my gentle nature and willingness to trust, I have a wonderful foundation to build on.   WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, which means I may need some extra patience, guidance, and time to adjust to unfamiliar environments and experiences. Although I'm naturally sweet and gentle, I grew up with very limited opportunities to interact with people or explore the world. In many ways, I'm like a blank page, waiting to discover all the wonderful things life has to offer. Everyday experiences that other dogs take for granted may be completely new to me. From learning household routines to becoming comfortable with new sounds, environments, and interactions, I'll need a family who understands that confidence takes time to build. I'm also continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, kennel comfort, and learning how to communicate without barking for food. Thankfully, I have one very helpful quality: I absolutely love treats! Food rewards can be a wonderful way to help me learn new skills and build positive associations with unfamiliar experiences. Because of my Brittany Spaniel background, my future family should also understand the breed's potential for high energy, strong prey drive, and a need for regular physical and mental stimulation. These traits haven't all been observed in me, but they may become more noticeable as I grow and gain confidence. I may have missed out on so many experiences during my early life, but with patience and love, there's still so much I can learn.   MY IDEAL HOME I'd love a patient, loving family who understands that I'm still discovering the world. I'm an incredibly gentle and affectionate girl, but because of my limited early experiences, I may need extra time to feel confident in unfamiliar situations. A calm, supportive environment where I can explore at my own pace would help me feel safe and secure. I'd especially benefit from a family familiar with Brittany Spaniels or other active sporting breeds, as my exercise and enrichment needs may increase as I become more confident. Although I'm currently moderate in energy, my breed is known for being athletic, intelligent, and eager to explore. My future family should be prepared to provide regular exercise, mental enrichment, continued training, and plenty of positive experiences. Because I'm generally peaceful around other dogs, I could potentially live with a compatible canine companion, although I don't necessarily need another dog to feel happy. Most importantly, I need people who won't expect me to understand everything right away. I need someone who will celebrate my little victories, give me time when I'm unsure, and show me that learning something new can be a wonderful experience.   WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME There are some dogs whose beauty catches your attention immediately. And then there are dogs whose stories stay with you long after you've met them. Gloria is both. My beautiful chocolate-brown and white coat, soft amber eyes, and elegant appearance might be the first things you notice. But spend a little time with me, and you'll discover something even more special. I'm an incredibly gentle girl who has every reason to be cautious about the world, yet still chooses to trust the people around her. I may be shy when we first meet, but a few treats and some gentle encouragement can help me feel safe enough to open my heart. My rescuers say it's almost impossible to believe that someone so sweet and beautiful spent her early life in such difficult conditions. I was still just a puppy when I experienced motherhood and the heartbreaking loss of my babies. I never had the chance to enjoy the carefree puppyhood I deserved. But now, for the first time, the world is opening up to me. There are places I've never explored, people I've never met, and countless happy moments I've never experienced. I don't know what it's like to have my own bed, my own toys, or a family who loves me unconditionally. But I'm ready to find out. I've spent the beginning of my life missing out on the love and happiness every puppy deserves. Now I'm hoping to find a family who will make sure the rest of my story is filled with both.   GLORIA’S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   ADOPTION INFORMATION • Adoption Fee: $1,050 CAD/USD   Apply to foster or adopt:  https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2873197##

I'm friendly with both people and other dogs, although I appreciate having a little time to adjust to new faces and unfamiliar situations. A gentle approach and some patience go a long way in helping me feel safe and confident. One important thing to know about me is that I have a strong prey drive, so I may become particularly interested in chasing smaller animals. With my sweet nature, expressive little face, and so much love to give, I'm looking forward to finding a patient and understanding family who will help me continue blossoming into a wonderful companion!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I may be a little shy when we first meet, so I appreciate a gentle approach and some time to get comfortable. I'm a gentle soul who would much rather avoid conflict and enjoy a calm, peaceful environment. With my sweet and easygoing nature, I enjoy being around other dogs and appreciate canine friends who respect my space and gentle personality! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm a good boy when it comes to walks! I walk nicely on a leash and follow my handler's lead, making our time outdoors enjoyable for both of us. I also have great manners around food and don't guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I may occasionally bark when I'm looking for a little extra attention, but I also know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel. I enjoy having a balance between spending time with my favourite humans and relaxing on my own. As for my potty habits, I'm comfortable doing my business both outdoors and indoors using pee pads. With a consistent routine in my forever home, I can continue maintaining and developing good habits. QUICK FACTS Name: AustinAge: 10 months oldBreed: English Setter Mix (with Brittany Spaniel)Gender: Male, NeuteredWeight: 17 kg / 37.5 lbsColor: White & BrownRescue Level: Level 2 Rescue Dog Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My story began at a dog breeding facility and slaughterhouse in Cheonan, South Korea, where I was rescued from a future no puppy should ever have to face. Instead of growing up in a loving home, I spent my early life in an environment where dogs weren't given the care and security they deserved. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance. Since then, I've been discovering that the world can be a much kinder place. There are people who offer delicious treats, gentle hands that mean no harm, and other dogs who simply want to play. One of my closest companions is George, who is believed to be my sibling. We love spending time together, and having him around has been a wonderful part of my journey. Despite my difficult beginning, I've grown into a cheerful, gentle, and playful boy with so much potential. I'm still learning what it means to trust, but every day brings me a little closer to the happy life I've always deserved.   MY HEALTH Neutered Vaccinations up-to-date Heartworm test: Negative   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Austin! I'm a handsome, cheerful boy with a beautiful white coat covered in adorable brown spots, big floppy ears, and a wonderfully playful personality. My rescuers say I have the charming looks of an English Setter, with a sleek build and expressive face that make me especially handsome. I'm a little more outgoing and energetic than my friend George. While he's the rounder, more laid-back-looking one, I'm the slightly more athletic boy who brings a little extra excitement to our adventures. I absolutely love spending time with other dogs, and George and I are often found playing or hanging out together. When it comes to people, I'm still learning to feel completely comfortable with affection. I can be a little shy when we first meet, and sometimes I'm not quite sure what to do when someone reaches out to pet me. But there's a pretty easy way to win me over: treats! I love food, and a few tasty snacks can help me warm up surprisingly quickly. Once I feel safe, I'm happy to approach you and enjoy some gentle affection. Underneath my initial shyness, I'm an incredibly sweet, good-natured boy who just needs a little patience to show his full personality. And while I'm still learning to enjoy human affection, I already have wonderful manners when it comes to being handled. My rescuers can trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, groom me, and even trim the fur around my paw pads without much fuss. I'm a gentle boy with a playful spirit, a kind heart, and so much love still waiting to come out.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be slightly shy when meeting new people, especially when it comes to physical affection. However, I'm very food motivated and usually warm up quickly with treats and patient interactions. Once I'm comfortable, I allow gentle handling and can be picked up with proper support. I'm still learning that human touch can be something enjoyable, so I appreciate people who let me approach at my own pace. · With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Gentle, supervised introductions would be important. · With Dogs: I'm very friendly and social with other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. Even when another dog becomes pushy or confrontational, I generally prefer to move away rather than engage. I especially enjoy spending time with George, who is believed to be my sibling. · With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave living with one. Because Setter-type dogs can have strong hunting instincts, careful introductions and appropriate management would be especially important.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I currently have a moderate energy level, with a cheerful and playful personality. I love spending time outdoors, exploring, and playing with other dogs. Once I've had enough activity, I'm generally able to settle down and relax. I'm also a little more lively and outgoing than George, so I enjoy having opportunities to run, play, and discover new things. Since I'm still only ten months old, my energy level and exercise needs may continue to develop as I mature. It's also important to remember that English Setters and Brittany Spaniels are sporting breeds originally developed for active outdoor work. Because of my breed background, I may need more physical exercise and mental enrichment as I grow, even though I'm currently fairly moderate in energy. I'd love a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and is excited to include me in their adventures.   MY WALKING SKILLS I'm currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I sometimes pull because there are so many interesting things to explore, but overall, I follow my person well. I'm still young and learning, so continued practice, positive reinforcement, and patience will help me develop better leash manners. As a Setter mix, I may also develop a strong interest in birds, squirrels, or other small animals. My prey drive hasn't been fully evaluated yet, so my future family should be prepared to manage that possibility. For my safety, I'll need to remain securely leashed in unfenced areas while my recall and outdoor behavior continue to develop. With consistent training and plenty of opportunities to explore safely, I'm sure we'll have some wonderful adventures together!   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS Even though I'm still young and adjusting to life after rescue, I already have some wonderful qualities. I'm generally calm when placed in a kennel and show no food guarding toward people or other dogs. I may bark when I want something, so my future family should be prepared to help me learn appropriate ways to communicate. One of my best qualities is how cooperative I am during grooming and handling. Even though I'm still getting used to human affection, I patiently allow my caregivers to trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, and groom my paws. That's a wonderful foundation for a young dog who will need regular grooming throughout his life. Because I haven't yet experienced every aspect of living in a traditional family home, I'll need guidance as I learn household routines, boundaries, and expectations. My potty habits in a home environment haven't been fully documented, so my future family should be prepared to establish a consistent routine. With patience and positive reinforcement, I have so much potential to become a wonderful family companion.   WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, which means I may need a little extra time, patience, and guidance as I adjust to unfamiliar people and environments. I'm naturally gentle and friendly, but I'm still building confidence and learning to feel comfortable with human affection. Sometimes I hesitate when someone first reaches out to pet me, even though I'm happy to accept treats and spend time nearby. The best way to help me is to let me approach at my own pace, reward my curiosity, and show me that gentle interactions can be positive experiences. I'll also need continued training as I adjust to family life, including leash manners, household routines, and learning how to settle in new environments. Because of my English Setter and Brittany Spaniel background, my future family should also be prepared for possible breed-related behaviors such as vocalization, high activity needs, and prey drive. These behaviors haven't all been observed in me, but they're important possibilities to understand as I grow. I'm a wonderful young dog with a gentle heart, and the right guidance will help me become the confident companion I'm meant to be.   MY IDEAL HOME I'd love a family who understands that I'm still learning about the world and is excited to help me grow. I'm friendly, playful, and social, but I can be a little cautious when it comes to unfamiliar people and physical affection. A patient family who uses positive reinforcement and allows me to build trust at my own pace would be wonderful. Because I enjoy other dogs so much, I could potentially thrive in a home with a friendly, compatible canine companion. My friend George has been an important part of my life, and I really enjoy having another dog to play with and spend time beside. I'd especially benefit from a family who has experience with English Setters, Brittany Spaniels, or other active sporting breeds. Although I'm currently moderate in energy, these breeds are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and strong natural instincts. My future family should be ready to provide regular exercise, mental enrichment, continued training, and safe opportunities to explore. I'd also appreciate people who understand that adjusting to a home after rescue takes time. I may need help learning new routines and building confidence in unfamiliar situations. Most importantly, I want a family who will love me for who I am today while helping me become the best version of myself.   WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME Maybe it'll be my beautiful white coat and adorable brown spots that catch your attention first. Or perhaps my big floppy ears, handsome face, and athletic build will make you smile. But spend a little time with me, and you'll discover that there's so much more to love. I'm a cheerful, gentle, and playful boy who loves making canine friends and exploring the world around me. I might be a little shy when you first reach out to pet me, but give me a few treats and some patience, and you'll start to see my sweet personality shine through. My rescuers say I'm an incredibly good-natured boy. Even though I'm still getting used to affection, I patiently cooperate with grooming and handling, get along beautifully with other dogs, and have a playful spirit that makes me a joy to be around. I especially love spending time with George. We may look a little different and have our own personalities, but we've shared an important part of our journey together. I was rescued from a place where my future was uncertain. Now, at just ten months old, I have my whole life ahead of me. There are so many things I haven't experienced yet. My first real home. My own comfortable bed. Long walks with someone I love. A family who looks forward to seeing me every morning. I may still be learning how to trust the world, but I have so much love and happiness waiting to be shared. I was given a second chance at life. Now I'm looking for someone who will help me turn that chance into a lifetime of adventures, friendship, and love.   AUSTIN’S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   ADOPTION INFORMATION • Adoption Fee: $950 CAD/USD  Apply to foster or adopt:  https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2873195##
