  EASY KEEPER BESTIE! What does that mean? THE DOBIE GREY Allow me to explain what I mean. Dobie is perfection when it comes to a content dog. Nearing 11 months old with an impeccable disposition and joy detected in his blood work results.  Dobie is one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever met. He doesn’t have an off switch because Dobie doesn’t really have an on switch. He’s content with simply being alive. Despite having endured and surviving whatever tragedy that took place to cause such harm to him, resulting in a full leg amputation, one would never know. Mentally, Dobie is rock solid. Balanced as balances should and could be for a dog. He’s stable, 100%.  Dobie really likes other dogs. I have big dogs. My smallest dog is an almost 12 year old 52lb Alpha Labrador mix. Largest dog is 153lb goofball English Mastiff. Dobie’s bestie here is my amazing larger than life 72lb Bulldog Terrier “Cow” wrecking ball cow puppy who often as possible steals Dobie’s toys.  Dobie is a complete charmer. He lives to love. He LOVES people. Walks like a grande champion on leash. Loves a potpourri of toys, is not destructive and car rides are winning lottery tickets. Dobie is a perfect copilot.  Dobie has a gentle mouth. He is not a grabber or a snapper. Dobie is very intelligent, easy to teach and his listeners work exceptionally well. Dobie has one hesitation, slippery floors. Here Dobie has a sure “yellow brick road”. I have placed a path of nonslip runners for his path for when we go outside. Once outside Dobie moves about with complete confidence. I do not have a cat or cats to test Dobie with. We do have loud obnoxious Hens to which Dobie does not even change his body language when those Hens start their noisy nonsense. Secure fenced yard would be best for Dobie to wander about while out for potty and play. Living indoors with minimal steps would be best considering he’s a perma pirate sporting his Tripaw status. Dobie does not object to being carried when a situation requires him to be picked up. He will melt into arms for cuddles. Dobie knows exactly how to behave in a kennel and crate (42 inch crate) and won’t object to having to be kenneled as long as there is a nonslip pad under his paws. Dobie is happy and he is gentle. He is a complete easy and joy filled walk in the park type of dog. At 11 months old Dobie has a long life ahead and would greatly appreciate sharing life with kind and loving human(s) that desire an easy keeper. He would be a phenomenal vacation dog. I don’t believe Dobie should be expected to hike a mountain, run a 5k or walks for endless miles, but dog carts and strollers are Dobie approved and then some. Dobie loves just hanging around and loves the outdoors while out on visits to meet new humans. Because Dobie is a Tripaw, I don’t believe a forever family with toddlers would be his ideal forever.  Dobie is up to date on all vaccinations, is neutered, and heartworm negative. He is current on his monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. A clear fecal and a negative 4DX with good bloodwork are part of his health history.  33.12lbs of absolute loving joy.  Bonus - Dobie is a perfect candidate as a therapy dog. He would love to visit those in need of tender loving joy. He wouldn’t object to being famous while trading some pets and extra love. Dobie’s adoption fee is $350. Instead of growing up surrounded by love, care, and opportunities to explore the world, I lived in a confined and neglected environment, with very little chance to experience life beyond it. Even though I was still just a puppy myself, I had already experienced motherhood. Sadly, I had never been given the opportunity to learn how to care for puppies of my own. Growing up in such an isolated environment, I struggled to understand even the most basic parts of caring for newborns. Tragically, none of my puppies survived. It's heartbreaking to think about everything I went through at such a young age. But thankfully, my story didn't end there. I was rescued and finally given the chance to experience a world beyond the place where I had spent my early life. Now, I'm slowly discovering new things, meeting kind people, and learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Despite everything I've experienced, I've remained an incredibly gentle and trusting girl. I'm a beautiful Brittany Spaniel with a gorgeous chocolate-brown and white coat, soft amber-brown eyes, and an elegance that seems to leave everyone speechless. My rescuers say that when people meet me for the first time, they often can't help but say, "Wow, she's beautiful." And apparently, I'm even more stunning in person! But as lovely as I look, my personality is what truly makes me special. I'm an incredibly gentle, sweet, and good-natured girl who is still discovering what it means to be loved. Because I grew up with very little human interaction, I can be a little shy when meeting someone new. Sometimes I'm not quite sure what to expect when a person approaches me. But there's one thing that makes becoming my friend much easier: treats! I absolutely love food, and a few yummy snacks can help me feel comfortable surprisingly quickly. Once I realize you're someone I can trust, I begin to relax, accept affection, and look to you for reassurance. I'm still learning how to navigate the world, but I have such a gentle and trusting heart. Even when I'm unsure of something, I rarely make a fuss. My rescuers are constantly amazed by how patient and cooperative I am. I may not know much about the world yet, but I'm more than ready to learn what it feels like to be someone's beloved companion.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be slightly shy when meeting new people because I haven't had much experience with human interaction. However, I'm very food motivated and tend to warm up quickly with treats and gentle encouragement. Once I feel comfortable, I allow people to pet me and can be picked up with proper support. I have an exceptionally gentle temperament and am gradually learning to trust the people around me. · With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Calm and supervised introductions would be important. · With Dogs: I'm generally peaceful and polite around other dogs. I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don't usually initiate play and tend to show little interest in continued interaction. I'm comfortable being around other dogs without needing to constantly engage with them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave living with one. Because Brittany Spaniels are sporting dogs with natural hunting instincts, careful introductions and appropriate management would be especially important.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I currently have a moderate energy level and enjoy a comfortable balance of activity and relaxation. I like spending time outdoors, exploring, and experiencing new things. Once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest. However, I'm still only ten months old, and my energy level may change as I grow more confident and comfortable in a home environment. Brittany Spaniels are naturally athletic and intelligent sporting dogs, often known for their enthusiasm, stamina, and love of outdoor activities. Because of my breed background, I may eventually need more physical exercise and mental enrichment than my current behavior suggests. I'd love a family who enjoys spending time outdoors and is willing to help me discover the world at a comfortable pace.   MY WALKING SKILLS I'm currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I sometimes pull because there are so many unfamiliar sights and smells to explore, but overall, I follow my person well. Since I had very limited experiences before being rescued, walking in new environments can be a big learning opportunity for me. With patience, positive reinforcement, and consistent practice, I can continue developing confidence and better leash manners. As a Brittany Spaniel, I may also have a natural interest in birds, squirrels, and other small animals. My prey drive hasn't been fully evaluated, so my future family should be prepared to manage that possibility. For my safety, I'll need to remain securely leashed in unfenced areas while I continue learning.   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS Even though I'm still learning about everyday life, I already have some wonderful qualities. I'm incredibly gentle and cooperative when it comes to handling and grooming. My rescuers can trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, groom me, and trim the fur around my paw pads, and I patiently allow them to do so. I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs, even though I absolutely love treats! One thing my future family should know is that I can be quite vocal when food is involved. I sometimes bark to ask for treats or meals, so I'll benefit from positive training that helps me learn calmer ways to communicate. I may also whine when placed in a kennel, so patient crate training and positive associations will help me become more comfortable. When it comes to potty habits, I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. I'll need continued consistency and guidance as I adjust to a new home. Because I've spent most of my life in a confined environment, many everyday household routines will be completely new to me. But with my gentle nature and willingness to trust, I have a wonderful foundation to build on.   WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, which means I may need some extra patience, guidance, and time to adjust to unfamiliar environments and experiences. Although I'm naturally sweet and gentle, I grew up with very limited opportunities to interact with people or explore the world. In many ways, I'm like a blank page, waiting to discover all the wonderful things life has to offer. Everyday experiences that other dogs take for granted may be completely new to me. From learning household routines to becoming comfortable with new sounds, environments, and interactions, I'll need a family who understands that confidence takes time to build. I'm also continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, kennel comfort, and learning how to communicate without barking for food. Thankfully, I have one very helpful quality: I absolutely love treats! Food rewards can be a wonderful way to help me learn new skills and build positive associations with unfamiliar experiences. Because of my Brittany Spaniel background, my future family should also understand the breed's potential for high energy, strong prey drive, and a need for regular physical and mental stimulation. These traits haven't all been observed in me, but they may become more noticeable as I grow and gain confidence. I may have missed out on so many experiences during my early life, but with patience and love, there's still so much I can learn.   MY IDEAL HOME I'd love a patient, loving family who understands that I'm still discovering the world. I'm an incredibly gentle and affectionate girl, but because of my limited early experiences, I may need extra time to feel confident in unfamiliar situations. A calm, supportive environment where I can explore at my own pace would help me feel safe and secure. I'd especially benefit from a family familiar with Brittany Spaniels or other active sporting breeds, as my exercise and enrichment needs may increase as I become more confident. And then there are dogs whose stories stay with you long after you've met them. Gloria is both. My beautiful chocolate-brown and white coat, soft amber eyes, and elegant appearance might be the first things you notice. But spend a little time with me, and you'll discover something even more special. I'm an incredibly gentle girl who has every reason to be cautious about the world, yet still chooses to trust the people around her. I may be shy when we first meet, but a few treats and some gentle encouragement can help me feel safe enough to open my heart. I don't know what it's like to have my own bed, my own toys, or a family who loves me unconditionally. But I'm ready to find out. I've spent the beginning of my life missing out on the love and happiness every puppy deserves. Hi! My name is Remi and I am a pocket sized (33 lb) orange and white...almost red...roan Brittany and I'm looking for my forever family. Check out my photos! People always tell me I'm SO handsome. I am 4 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, HW negative (just went through HW treatment), microchipped, and I'm fit as a fiddle. Now that the boring stuff has been covered, let me tell you the good stuff about me . I really like to go for walks. Foster mum says I'm pretty good on a leash. Sometimes I will bark or growl at other dogs when on a walk, but I do go to daycare and get along with everyone there. It's a leash thing. I am very good at basic commands and will sit when asked and will wait for you to take off my leash or feed me etc. I am a sensitive little boy and I am looking for a quiet home and someone who likes to snuggle. I will happily curl up on the couch or your bed with you. I do get nervous around smaller kids and don't like loud/sudden noises, so an adult only home or home with older, considerate kids (older teens) would be best. I think I'd be great with an active senior or retired couple who are home a lot so they can hang with me! I don't need another dog in the house and would be okay as your only dog. This is Pete — your future best friend, ball‑retrieving champion, and lovable goof with a heart of gold.   When Pete first arrived at NBRAN, he was completely blind due to cataracts. Thanks to quick action and a successful surgery, Pete now sees the world with bright curiosity… and he’s determined to chase every ball in it. Fetch isn’t just his favorite game — it’s his passion, his hobby, and his personal mission. Pete is a quirky guy in the best way. He sometimes gets fascinated by light and shadows, and like many Brittanys, he has been known to sample things that aren’t exactly food. Outdoors, he needs supervision around sticks and acorns, but most of the time he’s far too busy joyfully retrieving his ball to bother with them.  but Pete is affectionate, gentle, and wonderfully silly. He loves belly rubs, car rides, exploring a fenced yard, and cuddling up when he’s tired. He’s great on leash, has perfect recall, and is eager to please. He’s social with adults and older considerate kids — but he must be the only dog in the home. No exceptions.
