Jasper is a sweet 12-year-old Terrier mix weighing around 59 pounds, and he is searching for a forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by the love and care he deserves. Jasper came to the rescue from the Bell County Animal Shelter after being surrendered by his owner. His owner’s wife had passed away, and he eventually had to move into a nursing home where he could no longer care for Jasper. This was not because Jasper wasn’t loved. His family found themselves in a heartbreaking situation and wanted to make sure he was safe. Now, Jasper is being cared for while he waits for the forever family he so deserves. Jasper is a happy, sweet-natured boy who loves going outside and is house-trained. He does well with other dogs, and we are still learning more about his personality as he settles in. At 59 pounds, Jasper could stand to lose a little weight, but with healthy meals, gentle walks, and a family to keep him moving, he will be on the right track. What we already know is that Jasper has a truly sweet spirit and so much love left to give. At 12 years old, he should not have to wonder what happened to his family or where he belongs. He deserves a soft place to land, a comfortable bed, someone to take him outside, and a family who will remind him every day that he is still deeply loved. Jasper may be a senior, but his heart is full of hope. He is ready to give his love to someone who will cherish him for the rest of his life. Yolanda is a dream girl. She is super people friendly and will make an exceptional family pet, the kind dog you want kids to grow up with. She's fun and loves to run and play. We think Yolanda will be a great frisbee dog as she can jump and fly through the air. She is an amazing dog to watch. Good with other dogs but still needs a cat test. Yolanda is sleek and graceful, shiny black coat with telltale German Shorthair Pointer spots on her dainty feet. If Yolanda were reinvented as a person, she would definitely be a ballerina. Kooper (5, male) and Stella (6, female) are a bonded brother and sister GSP pair who need to go home together. Both are fixed, AKC registered, current on shots, and house and crate trained. Kooper is a shy, goofy Velcro dog who loves his ball and the couch. Stella is calm and quirky inside, but has a strong prey drive outside. They need a securely fenced yard, to live inside, no chickens, and either no other dogs or one calm male dog. Older kids preferred. I'm a flight attendant who just moved somewhere without a yard, and I want them somewhere they can really be dogs. Meet and greet and home visit required, and they come back to me if it ever doesn't work out.
