Story
Hi! I’m Kiki, an 11yearold Brussels Griffon blend weighing a petite 10 pounds. My name can mean “double happiness,” which feels just right for a tiny girl who delivers twice the cheer in one small package. I may be a senior on paper, but I move through life with the curiosity and pep of a youngster. I adore my morning belly rubs, love taking in all the sights on my daily outings, and I’m always ready to curl up in a warm lap when the day winds down. I’m also a dedicated little lookout, keeping an eye on the world and letting my humans know when someone strolls past.
Favorite Things: Kiki’s world is filled with toys; she simply can’t get enough of them, and the more, the merrier. She enjoys both short and long walks, approaching each outing with bright interest in everything around her. Car rides are another favorite pastime, especially when she’s nestled safely in her car seat, sometimes dozing off on longer trips. At home, she loves perching on high spots like couches or tables, surveying her kingdom from above. And of course, belly rubs are her daily musthave, she insists on them every morning to start the day right.
Training and Manners: Kiki has a lovely foundation of manners and a wonderfully calm presence when her person is home. She walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys car rides, and sleeps soundly in the people bed at night. She is house trained when taken out regularly and thrives with a predictable routine. Kiki is working through a bit of separation anxiety but with reassurance and consistency, she continues to settle more comfortably each day.
Health and Care: Kiki is a healthy girl! She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She will just need monthly flea and heart worm preventatives. She benefits from occasional professional grooming for her coat and nails. At home, she enjoys regular brushing and being blowdried, even if baths are not her favorite activity.
Other Animals: Kiki can be vocal when she sees unfamiliar dogs on walks. While she hasn't lived with other dogs with slow, thoughtful introductions, she should be fine with another calm dog. Kiki does have experience living with cats and is respectful to them.
Children: Kiki has spent time with children (4+) and interacted with them gently and appropriately. Her sweet, steady temperament makes her a lovely match for families who understand how to engage respectfully with a small dog. When she gets overly excited, she may redirect her enthusiasm onto a pillow, which her foster has managed with simple adjustments.
Ideal Home: Kiki thrives best in a singlefamily home where she can enjoy frequent outings and have someone around most of the time. She prefers a predictable environment and a household that can provide her with regular companionship, structure, and plenty of enrichment will make her happiest. She enjoys having a good vantage point, so a home where she can observe the world at her leisure will help her feel even more content.
Overall: Kiki is a sweet, spirited little character who brings an easy warmth to every room she enters. Her clever mind, expressive face, and unmistakable Brussels Griffon charm make her endlessly endearing. With a name tied to “double happiness,” she seems determined to live up to it, offering twice the personality in one tiny package. She’s ready to share her heart with a family who sees just how special she is.
