Meet Birdie!
Birdie is a one-of-a-kind girl looking for a home that appreciates her spunky personality and lets her be the star of the show! This adorable Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier mix is full of charm, intelligence, and endless entertainment.
Birdie was previously adopted into a home with other dogs, but over time she decided that sharing her kingdom just wasn't for her. She's happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. After all, every queen deserves her castle!
She currently lives with a mellow cat and does well. Her feline roommate is happy to tolerate Birdie's playful antics, making a calm, dog-savvy cat a possible companion.
Birdie is a smart girl who learns quickly and enjoys having a job to do. She also has a few delightful quirks that make her unforgettable. Chief among them? She's convinced that squirrels are the ultimate challenge and remains determined to catch one someday! A securely fenced yard or careful leash walks will help keep this enthusiastic squirrel hunter safe.
Like many loyal little dogs, Birdie forms a very strong bond with her favorite person and can become protective of them. Because of this, she would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect her boundaries.
When it's time to play, Birdie truly shines. She absolutely loves toys and is just as happy entertaining herself as she is inviting you to join in the fun. Whether she's tossing a toy in the air, chasing it across the room, or bringing it to you for a game, her joyful spirit is contagious.
Birdie is looking for a family that understands her unique personality and will love her for exactly who she is. In return, she'll reward you with loyalty, laughter, and a lifetime of companionship.
Birdie's ideal home:
Only dog in the home
A calm cat may be okay
Adult-only home or home with older, respectful children
Someone who enjoys an active, playful companion
A family willing to embrace her quirky, loving personality
If you're looking for a funny, affectionate little dog with a big personality, Birdie may just be your perfect match!
