Story
Spice up your life with Taco! Hola! My name is Taco. I’m an active niño with undeniable love and loyalty for my people. I’m a 1.5-year-old, 35-pound Bull Terrier. I was recently relinquished to TAP when my owner could no longer provide me with the care that I deserve. I am deaf and have some vision impairment (pending a consultation with the Ophthalmologist). The beginning of my life may have been a little bit messy, but I’m still hopeful that we can taco ‘bout a bright future together! I’m a playful pup with plenty of spicy energy. I love to go on long walks, hikes, play near the water, fetch… you name it! I also love mentally stimulating activities like working through a rolled-up towel or treat puzzles. I’m “nacho” average pooch and I love keeping busy both physically and mentally. I love all humans and have done well with the kids that I’ve been around. However, I am not a fan of other dogs or cats. I’m protective of my people and it’s best if I’m a solo pooch. At the end of the day, I’m a loving goofball who brings his people so much joy (not unlike a taco!). Not to brag, but I’m a super smart dude. I am bathroom, house, and leash trained. I have been working with a professional trainer, Deb of Your Inner Dog https://www.yourinnerdog.com/ and made a ton of progress!! I’ve quickly picked up on all commands that I’ve been taught and my foster says that I can learn anything! I am a big fan of snacks and get protective over my meals. I get a bit of mild separation anxiety, but it seems like boredom and pent-up energy are my real issues. I may get into some trouble if left alone, so it’s important that I have appropriate chew toys and that I’ve gotten my exercise before you leave. Foster-to-Adopt or Adoption includes 2 trainer lessons to continue work with certified and accredited trainer. My ideal furever casa is one that enjoys the spice of life as much as me! If you enjoy being active and never bored, I’m your guy. I would thrive with a yard to run around in and without other pooches. I’d love to continue my training so that I can be absolutely spec-taco-lar. TAP can recommend an amazing specialist trainer! So what do you say? Let’s meet and I’ll guac your world! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1364220##

Story
Meet Riley! She is an almost 3 year old affectionate and devoted beagle/boxer mix that will shower you in kisses and hugs, and follow you everywhere you go. She wants nothing more in life than to snuggle, run, and play with toys. Riley will thrive as the only dog in the household since she loves to be the center of attention, and has a history of not getting along with other dogs. She is high energy and we believe she would do best in a house with active adults who are experienced with large dogs, and those who can keep up with and satisfy her need to run around and play. Riley would benefit from additional leash training due to her tendency to pull, but she is potty trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, shake, and stay. She is an intelligent dog who learns fast if she is provided with consistency. If you are ready to have a new best friend that will never leave your side, and you feel that you can provide Riley with a FOREVER home, please reach out!

Story
6yr old Bridget lingered at the Imperial County Shelter for 5 months and after a few short days in a loving foster home, she has proven to be all her Boxer breed has to offer. Playful, Respectful, completely housetrained, joyful and fun to be around. She loves the companionship of some other dogs, as well as enjoying toys, she knows the difference between a shoe that is not hers to chew and a toy that she clearly will chew. Bridget can go from calm, chill to ""let's go for a walk"" in an instant. She rides well in a car, she loves the outdoors and her walks, she is a zig zagger on walks so we are going to work on that, but all in all, this girl is well behaved, respects boundaries and is a diamond in the ruff of the rough. Keep an eye out on this lovely girl, she is ready to join your family and bring you endless joy for many years to come.
