Not only is Darlene incredibly friendly and sweet, but she's house-trained and also has some impressive house manners! Darlene is very dog-selective and would do best as the only dog that steals your heart and your couch. If you're looking for a new furry friend who will bring endless joy and love into your life, look no further than Darlene! She's playful, she loves to go on walks and she's a joy on-leash. She even adores car rides and adventures. Darlene's pretty much happy doing whatever her people are doing. Story
Posse has been on an incredible journey of growth since she arrived at the shelter almost 4 weeks ago. She came in as a stray—dirty, emaciated, losing fur and completely shut down. She has come so far out of her shell since then, thanks to work by staff and volunteers alike, including leash manners, socialization skills and medicated baths. She is a different dog than the one we met at the beginning of the month and yet she still has a ways to go. Her anxiety is quite high and it’s visible on walks, when she spends most of it darting this way and that, seemingly looking for an escape. She is still seeking that single human to show her the way. And she’s likely going to make more progress, if she has a dog friend helping her do it. Her current kennel mate, Casper, has been a great lifeline for her and that is not uncommon for shelter dogs. That said, slow introductions are always recommended! A few days of decompression by herself would go a long way for her. A stressed-out dog is not going to be at their best and they might voice negative opinions about scenarios that they end up tolerating or even enjoying.A good home for her would provide stability, shelter and incremental progress. She will do best when she’s allowed to go at her pace. She will do best when she’s not forced into something. She is a young girl with so much ahead of her. I just hope that someone gives her the chance to shine! She’s a great candidate to foster, so that staff can continue to gather notes on how she will be in a home, but she is also available for adoption. https://youtube.com/shorts/wUhaJd1ZZ4k?si=3THrP-wkMPozn1az

Story
Her name is Winter- 4 year old dog, weighing about 40 pounds, who has been living in an urban environment in San Francisco for the last year. In this setting, she displays a lot of anxiety and reactivity toward strangers, neighboring residents, and other dogs. Her behavior has escalated to unpredictable reactivity which includes barking, lunging, and two biting incidents that were level zero to one. We, the current owners are fully occupied, and are first time dog owners who are completely overwhelmed by her complex needs. We want to secure her future with an experienced foster or rescue and avoid animal control taking her.Winter is a sweet dog with us, but the urban 'stranger danger' is more than we can safely manage as first-time owners. We believe she would thrive in a more structured, low-traffic environment under your guidance. We are happy to transport her to you and provide any supplies or sponsorship needed to secure her spot.

Story
Ashton is a smart and loyal female dog. She is friendly and affectionate, loves to play, and enjoys the company of humans. She would make a great companion to someone who doesn't desire their dog to be a part of every aspect of their social life. Ashton is a homebody. Ashton is independent and knows how to entertain herself. She also enjoys being a couch potato, and cuddling up with her favorite humans is one of her happiest activities! Small children make her very nervous, so she needs to be in a kid free environment. Ashton also is not comfortable with other dogs, so a family looking for a single pet is her best match. Consequently finding a home for her has been a challenge. But we know her people are out there! Ashton is an adult dog. She has plenty of energy and lots of love to give a family. We hope that Ashton will find her forever home with a family who can give her the love and care she deserves. 833-473-7364 leave a vm or text us. Email us at resilientdogrescue@gmail.com.
