Story
Who's the sweetest girl around? Cookie! Cookie is estimated to be 3 years old and is a darling girl ready for love. She is a wonderful adventure buddy, but is also great at being a couch potato while you are chilling at home. She loves belly rubs and melts when you give her scratches in all the right places. She is fully grown and weighs about 50lbs. Cookie was found as a stray in Southern California by a good samaritan. The woman brought her to the vet and tried to find her family, but no one came forward. Her sister decided to foster Cookie, and we made her a YCSPCA foster home so we could help Cookie get adopted. Cookie has been such a wonderful girl, and she is oh-so ready to start making memories with her new family. Cookie would be the perfect companion for someone who wants a buddy to be active with, but also needs a pup who can relax during the work day. She is a great running buddy and would love to join her new family for hikes and other outdoor adventures, but she is also happy to snuggle on the couch for movie night. She is up for whatever you want, as long as she can be by your side. Cookie is a very smart girl and has been acing her basic manners training. She can get a little excited when she sees squirrels or other dogs on walks, so her foster mom has been training with her, and Cookie has been doing awesome. She will need a family dedicated to continuing her training to help her be the best girl she can be. Cookie has been doing great living with another large dog. The girls have become BFFs and love to play and nap together. She could be a great buddy for another medium/large dog, but she also wouldn't mind being your spoiled only pup. Cookie has a high prey drive and needs a home with no cats or other small animals. She has never hurt another animal, but we don't want to risk it. Cookie has done well with kids and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Cookie is house and crate trained. She is comfortable hanging out in her crate during the work day, but has also done well being left free roaming for short periods. She has great house manners and is always eager to do anything for a tasty treat. Cookie is such a star, and we know her perfect family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Cookie's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
Ashton is a smart and loyal female dog. She is friendly and affectionate, loves to play, and enjoys the company of humans. She would make a great companion to someone who doesn't desire their dog to be a part of every aspect of their social life. Ashton is a homebody. Ashton is independent and knows how to entertain herself. She also enjoys being a couch potato, and cuddling up with her favorite humans is one of her happiest activities! Small children make her very nervous, so she needs to be in a kid free environment. Ashton also is not comfortable with other dogs, so a family looking for a single pet is her best match. Consequently finding a home for her has been a challenge. But we know her people are out there! Ashton is an adult dog. She has plenty of energy and lots of love to give a family. We hope that Ashton will find her forever home with a family who can give her the love and care she deserves. 833-473-7364 leave a vm or text us. Email us at resilientdogrescue@gmail.com. If ever a dog needed rescue, it is Ashton. Someone just needs to give her a chance.

Story
Andrina is the oldest of the first of two litters my dogs had. She is 3 years old and I helped to birth her at home. She has always been with us since birth and is a very good girl. She is loving and food motivated and very playful. She isn’t always friendly with other dogs because she can be a bit of an alpha. She is great with kids very gentle. I used to hold her often when she was a baby. She is house trained.

This beautiful lady is Darlene. She's a black and white Bull Terrier mix. Darlene was surrendered back to HSNB after her adopter passed away and their children didn't have time to care for her.
