Meet Patrick! A small boy with a big personality! Patrick, a male Bull Terrier puppy, is 3 months old and weighs 17 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, crate trained, and housebroken. Patrick came to WAGS after being returned to the shelter due to his inability to walk on a leash; as a result, he would act aggressively toward the leash. He has been leash-trained here at rescue, and we have been very successful with Patrick. Patrick was not treated well before any of his shelter experience, showing great fear toward normal items like brooms, leashes, and mops. We believe that Patrick was abused, and therefore, we recommend ongoing training for Patrick throughout his life, not just for structure but also for bonding and love. Patrick is a darling boy, and with the right, dedicated person, he will grow to be an amazing companion.

Georgia is 13 months old. She is deaf and blind since birth. She loves all people and all dogs plays with my 8 and 10 year old grandchildren and my 2 recues-both 60 pounds, one is12 the other is 5. I adopted her from Peggy adams at 13 weeks. I have recently lost my husband and I need to go back to work. I would love to find someone looking for a special needs dog and looking to love her as much as she gives love. She is 65 pounds. She loves walks and other dogs that she can get to know and those would guide her. She will need to mentally map her new home in order to navigate it without injury. Georgia loves treats. She carries a stuffed animal around like it is her baby. I keep her crated at night and when I am not home with her to prevent injury. She spent 2 weeks at K9 diversity training and did well with other dogs. I would love to find a person that would give her love and nurture her. Geogia is facinated by rain. Georgia is a miracle and needs a miracle. Please help her.

WATCH MY VIDEO...Sandy is a beautiful 4-year-old tan Boxer mix with a calm, loving personality that makes her incredibly easy to adore. She was previously adopted from us, but sadly returned because she and the other dog in the home were not the right match. Sometimes personalities between dogs just don’t click, and through no fault of her own, Sandy found herself back at the shelter looking for a new beginning. Since being back with us, Sandy has impressed our staff and trainers with what a genuinely good and friendly dog she is. She’s not overly energetic or demanding. in fact, she’s happiest relaxing in the sunshine, soaking up belly rubs, and spending quiet time with her people. She walks wonderfully on leash, appears to be housetrained, comes when called, and has an affectionate, easygoing nature that would make her a fantastic companion for a first-time dog owner. Sandy enjoys treats, likes toys, and will play interactively with you, but she’s definitely more of a relaxed companion than a nonstop athlete. She’s confident without being pushy, affectionate without being clingy. She simply has a sweet, steady temperament that makes being around her feel easy. While Sandy seems to like other dogs, she may be selective about her canine friends, so a dog meet would be important if there is already another dog in the home. What she truly wants most, though, is a family who will love her for the wonderful dog she is and give her the stability she deserves.
