Story
Meet Murphy, a Bull Terrier born on 5/18/2016. Murphy would do best in a home where the owner has a flexible schedule or works from home and isn't kenneled or left alone all day. He is wonderful with kids and would do fine with other dogs other than his brother given a proper introduction. He is very protective of his family and his brother. When meeting strangers, slow introductions would be best as he takes some time to warm up. He is a huge love bug and loves to cuddle. He is playful when he wants to be, but would prefer to spend most of the day lounging around. He would also do best in a female only home, but warms up to males in time with slow introductions. He will warm up to anyone in time, but needs to trust them first. Once you gain his trust, you're in! The suggested adoption donation for Murphy is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $300,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Before applying to adopt Murphy, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Meet Milo, a Bull Terrier born on 9/25/2018. Milo is looking for a home where his owner has a flexible schedule or works from home and doesn't leave him kenneled or alone all day. He is wonderful around kids and would do fine with other dogs besides his brother given the proper introduction. He loves the dog parks and is such a social butterfly running around with other dogs. If he could spend all day outside, he would. He loves to cuddle, but is more independent than his brother.  The suggested adoption donation for Milo is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Jules (b. 6/2018) Bull Terrier, is looking for the right home that can understand her. She needs a family that can provide her with the attention, exercise, and love she needs! She has been living and working with her trainer, who has been teaching her how to be calm and how to redirect when she gets overstimulated. She has made so much progress! Her trainer said she loves cuddling, getting petted, belly rubs, and she is learning to play fetch! She also loves to crawl and spin. Her trainer has learned that Jules needs structure in her day. She has her routines and her normalcy; if something is out of place—a new noise, new people, or any change—it takes her some time to adapt. She isn’t a fan of other dogs, so she will need to be the only pet in the home. She needs a home that can stick to a schedule or routine, help her with her confidence, and make her feel secure. Before applying to adopt Jules, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Bull Terriers. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so can work with our free trainers, or must be willing to pay for own positive reinforcement trainer to work with Jules. The suggested adoption donation for Jules is $215. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are required for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page. ##1120818##
