Meet Nash! 🐾 Nash is a Basenji-Bull Terrier mix with high energy and an enthusiastic love for life. He absolutely loves to play and thrives on human companionship—people are his favorite! Nash would do best in a home without cats. He is crate trained and housebroken, and he already knows several commands including sit, down, leave it, stay, and come. Very intelligent and eager to learn, Nash would likely excel in activities like agility or other structured training that lets him use both his body and mind. His impressive athletic ability means he can easily clear a 5-foot chain link fence, so a secure yard or supervised outdoor playtime will be important. He’s a fun, smart companion looking for an active home to match his energy. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Ravenna was adopted as a tiny 8 to 9-week-old puppy… just a baby with her whole life ahead of her. Years later, she was found again—alone, roaming as a stray, her skin in rough shape, clearly having been through more than any dog should. And yet… somehow, Ravenna is still Ravenna. Still silly. Still full of personality. Still ready to love like nothing ever broke her. This girl is a one-of-a-kind mix—Bull Terrier, Husky, maybe a little Bulldog—and you’ll see it immediately. The dramatic “talking back” screams when she wants attention, the hilarious tippy-tappy toes when she’s excited, and yes… the moments where she gets “mad” at you and turns her whole butt in your direction like a stubborn toddler 😊And her eyes… one blue, one brown. They don’t just look at you, they pull you in. Ravenna is independent and loves to explore, but no matter what, she comes when you call. Every. Single. Time. She’ll run right up, lean into you, and wait for her favorite thing in the world—butt scratches. That’s all she needs to be happy. She greets new people with big jumps (her version of a hug), and on walks… you’ll want a good grip on that leash. She’s strong, and if she spots something to chase, she’s ready! A Freedom Harness works wonders. Now fair warning—if you see other dogs, Ravenna will put on a show. The Bull Terrier in her comes out loud and proud—excited screams, dancing feet… it can look like chaos to strangers. But those who know the breed? They see exactly what it is: pure, goofy joy. Sweet Thunder buddy is the best puppy around! Hes a low energy “teenager” puppy(around 8-10 months old) that entertains himself with his bones or toys! He naps a lot on the couch and will sleep with you all night in bed! He is pretty much housebroken and attempts to wake you up when he has to go potty outside! He is very good on a leash, does not react to people, other dogs and only watches the neighborhood deer! He is excellent in the car, sits or lays and will chew on a bone if provided(he goes on a lot of rides with foster mom!) Very happy to meet all the people with a wag and sometimes jumps up but is coaxed down with the word off! He also knows how to sit with a hand signal! He gets along well with the kitties in his foster home! Doesn’t bother them too often but is easily redirected with words when he gets excited about annoying them 😅! He has attended events with other puppies and dogs and does seem to do well with them but may display some possession in the home! He is totally fine in the home as a single dog as he prefers to follow his person around! Thunder is not really a fan of a crate but does go into a very strong enforced crate when left home alone! He does not have accidents in the crate! He does also like when you walk outside with him so he can go potty! He is an all around fabulous dog that needs a bit more confidence and training (which is being worked on in foster care) and would be darn near perfect!
