Hi! My name is Blue! I am a sweet 30 lb nugget who was lucky enough to be rescued from the shelter by this wonderful group. Nothing is known about my background but thats ok, I am just looking forward now! Since I am still a puppy (approx. 10 months) I am full of energy and antics! I am good at walking on a leash and enjoy all the smells along the way. I am excellent in my crate and dont fuss at all. I am still learning about this potty training thing but since I am smart, I know I will figure it out soon. I I love my boxer foster brother very much and play with him non stop! I love when people come to visit and I greet them with my excited wags and vertical jumps off all 4 paws. I am a good girl outside in the yard and love playing chase, and boy, am I FAST! Even though my foster brother is much bigger than me, I can catch him! I dont dig or mess up the yard, except for leaving my fast tracks in the mud. I am also a good guard dog and alert my family to scary things outside. Because I am so athletic and smart, I would enjoy doing dog sports like agility or fly ball. We have had her since she was 2, she is 9 now, she has a skin condition that has gotten out of control and has brought a horrible smell and flaking, she is now occasionally peeing in the house, and has lost weight, we don’t have money for vet, but we have done our best to take care of her, she is not too fond of other animals, but she is very protective for our family all these years! I feel so bad because we are moving and can’t take her or care for her any longer, she is very sweet, I don’t know whether to put her down or if someone can help her.

Meet Millie, a happy-go-lucky Terrier mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/24 as a stray. Millie weighs 46 pounds, is approx 3 years old and is not spayed. This live-wire of a pup is high energy. She continually will jump on you. Obedience training is a must for this girl to be able to fit in with her new family. Due to the jumping I do not think she will be a good fit at this point for a home with young children. She does walk ok on a leash but is a bit of a puller. She knows the sit command and loves treats, which may indicate she could easily be motivated to learn some better manners with some yummy treats. She is friendly and was more than happy to receive loving attention from me. She does have a pleasant nature and seems to have a confident and trusting demeanor. She was busy, busy, busy checking out the yard and the room in which I did her eval and pics. She just has a real zest for living and would make someone a devoted companion. Millie would benefit greatly from daily enrichment, exercise, play time and training.

URGENT: Hunt Is Orphaned This amazing little guy's owner died. He needs a foster or Forever home ASAP or he will end up in an overcrowded shelter.. not good, especially for bully breeds. 😔 Hunt is absolutely wonderful. He's a very chill dog, gentle natured and smart. (See attached video!) Hunt is housetrained and leash trained. He sits, shakes and loves to snuggle. He’s also wonderful with kids and he gets along well with dogs of ALL sizes. Also, he doesn't mind cats, he's just a bit scared of them. 🩵This precious dog is 4 yrs old and 65 lbs of love. He's neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and current on heartworm prevention and flea prevention.
