Story
Meet our newest rescued cutie. She is a sweet bully mix who was rescued from Dallas Animal Services. We are still learning more about her, but thus far she has shown a huge desire to connect with her people. Her foster mom is currently working on leash manners and basic commands. Fern would do best in a home that can give her consistent exercise and would love to be someone's walking or running mate. She will make a fun, sweet and worthwhile companion.

Story
Natasha was used for breeding and dumped when she was no longer productive. We took in this sweet girl with breast cancer and other issues but have fully addressed her medical issues, so she is ready for her forever home. Natasha does not hear well but is receptive to hand signals, touch, and light.Natasha gets along with other dogs but has to be managed because if another dog indicates aggressive behavior around her, she will go after that dog. Therefore, we recommend she be an only dog or go to an experienced dog family.Natasha loves attention and belly and back rubs. She is very laid back but is always ready for activities with her human. Natasha is great on a leash and loves walks; Natasha enjoys her car rides and would be a great travel companion. She is a typical Bull Terrier, so if you love the breed, you will love Natasha. She is fully vetted, spayed, current with vaccines, on flea/tick, heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Story
Max has never had a belly rub he didn’t like!   He also enjoys lounging in the sun, gently playing with his stuffies, and daily walks (but isn’t interested in being anyone’s running buddy- we feel  ya Max!)   Car rides are his favorite- especially when he gets to ride shotgun!  Max has a silly personality that really shines once you get to know him!  While Max takes correction well, he’ll require an adopter who will let him know he’s not the boss.  Give him an inch, and he’ll take a foot ( can you blame him though?!) Max is extremely food motivated and will never turned down a meal or treat.  He will even dance for his dinner! He  is currently being fostered by a family  with two female resident dogs, a cat (who he loves and secretly has a crush on), and two older kiddos (8 and 12 years old).  Since tiny humans can be super unpredictable, we recommend older kids for  Max. A meet-and -greet is required if you already have pups – Max loves all the attention! He is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered,  microchipped, current on  his vaccinations, 4-5 years old, and  weighs 65 lbs. Email info@rockwallpets.com to meet this big ole goofball!   April 24, 2024, 4:19 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Cookie! I am a 6 year old female Boxer/Bulldog mix around 45 Lbs. I was originally found at Hickory Ridge Park in Rockwall on 03/13/23 and was never reclaimed. I am playful, love going on walks/ jogs, and have a favorite tiny rubber chicken toy. After exercising, I like taking naps with my blanket. I have been patiently waiting for my FURever home for 405 days as of 04/23/24. Since I am considered a Diamond Dog, I have a reduced adoption fee of $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic yearly boosters. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I am now heartworm negative as of 03/20/24!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 24, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Cristoph! I am a 1-year-old, male Boxer mix weighing approx. 59 lbs. I was originally found in the Providence Subdivision in Rockwall on 09/14/2023 and sadly never reclaimed. I am a sweet boy who enjoys going on walks and loves to play. I have made lots of canine friends since I've been at the shelter, but I would like to find a real home and family to love. I am house broken, crate trained, and am overall a very good boy! If you have other pets in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along before taking me home! I can be nervous around small children and am suggested with kids 13 years and older. Since I have been a shelter resident for 218 days as of 04/20/24, I am a Diamond Dog with a reduced adoption fee of $75. I am neutered, current on rabies vaccination, basic boosters, microchip and heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me a part of your family, you are welcome to fill out an adoption application listed here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.
