Story
Otis is a sweet, loving, silly, and stubborn English Bull Terrier. He is goofy - loves to lay on his back and wiggle around. He is super chill - one good walk a day keeps him happy, and he'll mostly lounge around the rest of the day. Otis awas found as a stray 10 years ago, when he was estimated to be around 3 years old.  He's been a very loved faimly member ever since. Otis is pretty mellow for the most part, with bursts of energy (aka zoomies) that will make you forget he's 13 years old! Otis enjoys lounging around on his dog bed or the couch. In warmer weather, he'll enjoy lounging outside and sunbathing all day. He loves one walk a day - ideally at his pace, which can involve side adventures to plug his head into a bush for minutes at a time. An ideal home for Otis would be adults only, with no children (including visiting children) and no other pets. Otis can be reactive with other animals, so he must be an only pet. Any exposure to other animals should be avoided or strictly on leash with careful management by a person experienced with handling a strong dog.  He is typically very sweet and calm with adults.  Children can over stimulate him.  The goal is to maintain safety at all times.  For that reason, he needs a child-free home. Otis is house-trained and only has occassional accidents due to his age, but he is very good at using a pee-pad in a designated place when that happens. He is very good on leash for his walks. Otis does have seasonal arthritis, but it is well-managed with a daily anti-inflammatory. Otis (English Bull Terrier, ~13 yrs, 55 lbs) is a sweet, loving, mellow senior who’s happiest with one good walk a day and then lounging the rest of the time. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and in good health. Otis needs a very specific, safety-focused setup: an adult-only home with no small children (including visiting) and no other pets, and someone comfortable managing a strong dog with clear boundaries.  The perfect home for Otia would also need to have experince with his brred.  This senior gentleman will be an excellent addition to the right family.   To learn more about Otis and request an application please reach out to Vivienne by email at  vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  March 12, 2026, 6:44 pm

Story
I WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT AT THE FAIRFAX PETSMART ON SUNDAY APRIL 12TH FROM 12-2P. I AM READY TO GO HOME WITH MY NEW FAMILY FROM THE EVENT SO GET YOUR APPLICATION IN AND APPROVED NOW SO YOU CAN TAKE ME HOME FROM THE EVENT! Current Location: Strasburg, VA Female Estimated date of birth: 9/5/25 Meet Solace Solace and her brother Echo were found on their own, abandoned and struggling to find enough food to get by. It was not the start any puppy deserves. But here is the thing about Solace. Not one moment of it touched her spirit. Even when she arrived at the shelter thin and in need of so much, her warmth shone through so completely and so immediately that there was simply no missing who she was. She has since put on the weight she so desperately needed and she is thriving, a beautiful white and fawn girl with short soft fur, the most expressive eyes you have ever seen, an adorable pink nose, and an all white face that looks like it was put together with extra care and intention. Solace is six months old and chock full of pure resilience and joy. She loves people, all people, new ones included, and she greets everyone with the same open and generous heart, completely intent on giving and receiving as much affection as the moment will allow. She is a snuggler and a cuddler and a leaner and a kisser and she will find a way to be as close to you as physically possible because closeness is simply how Solace experiences love. There is something about her that feels like both hope and peace at the same time. She carries her past lightly and her joy heavily. She is not looking back. She is looking forward to absolutely everything and somehow also perfectly content to be exactly where she is right now, soaking up this moment and the next and the one after that. She and Echo weathered something hard together and came through it with their faith in people and in the future completely intact. That kind of spirit is not something you stumble across every day. Solace did not just survive her start. She rose above it with grace and a wagging tail and a pink nosed smile that will absolutely undo you the first time you see it. She is ready to bring every bit of that warmth and resilience into a forever home and fill it with the kind of comfort and joy that her name promises. She has already proven she can get through anything. Now she just wants to enjoy everything.

Story
Mack is a 1‑year‑old mixed breed (Pocket Bully / Australian Shepherd) with a loving personality and plenty of playful energy. He enjoys chasing squirrels, full‑body rubs, cheek massages, and long walks in the woods, and he loves running around the yard. He knows sit and shake and thrives as a loyal, engaged companion. He's wonderfully social: Great with cats and female dogs Socialized with dogs since birth and currently lives with three dogs Has lived and played with two cats since 9 weeks old Even gets along with the goose in the yard Mack is crate trained and eats in his crate because he's very food‑motivated and will try to sample everyone's meals. He also has a funny, endearing habit of watching TV and will howl at the smoke alarm and oven timer. We're seeking a new home for Mack only because our older male dog has become anxious and aggressive toward him. Mack deserves a home where he can feel safe, loved, and live his best life. We are willing to help w/neuter fees.
