Get ready to meet Gambino, a handsome dog with a heart of gold who is just waiting to become your devoted co-pilot in life! This middle-aged gentleman is proof that second chances are beautiful. Gambino has had a rough start, enduring a life chained up outside and then spending several months in a shelter kennel after his rescue. Thankfully, he has been safe in a foster home for the last few weeks, decompressing and learning what it means to be a cherished pet. Now, all he needs is a patient, loving person who can help his past trauma become a distant memory. Gambino is a truly dedicated lover boy, and his favorite place in the world is right by your side. He’s incredibly clingy because he views his person as the most important thing in the world, making him a naturally protective companion. He has a history of making friends easily with women and is simply looking for a confident, patient handler who can help him feel secure and show him the world is safe. He’s food and praise motivated, knows his basic commands, and he loves all the scratches, especially on his neck! He’s also a big fan of toys and chews—rope toys, squeakers, balls, chew bones, you name it, he likes it! Gambino is the total package when it comes to house manners. He is perfectly potty-trained and a star student in his kennel, heading to his crate easily with just a little help from a tasty frozen Kong. He’s a dream on the leash and responds perfectly to "sit" and "no." He would probably prefer a secure fenced-in yard where he can relax and enjoy his time outdoors, without the restriction of a leash. This guy thrives on routine and clear boundaries. Due to his history as a watchdog, he would likely thrive as the solo pet in the home. He's working hard on being a little more gentle with accepting treats (he still gets a little chomp-happy!) but shows great improvement with every new skill he learns. Gambino's ideal home is one where his person is ready for a shadow and a snuggle machine! He is a sweetheart who is just beginning to learn how wonderful life can be. This gentle giant was taken in as a stray at just 7 months old and has spent the last several years living peacefully in a home with 15 other dogs of all ages and sizes. He’s truly a pack-friendly boy who gets along with everyone. Unfortunately, his owner had to downsize her dog family, so Wendell came to us. From the moment we met him, it was clear—this boy is pure love! 🥰 He’s chill, affectionate, housebroken, and oh-so-sweet. Wendell absolutely aced his temperament test and showed us just how easygoing and wonderful he is. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion who will fit right in with your family, Wendell is your guy! Her double cherry eye has been removed and spay completed, so she is set to find a loving foster home with someone experienced in caring for Neos. We know Gianna plays well with another large male dog but we're still getting to know her personality and specific needs, so stay tuned for more updates. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Miss Anita found herself abandoned in her owners garage went they moved.  Several neighborhoods around her rallied to help her.  Finally, a couple took her in to try and get her the right home on social media.  When that didn't work they came to Mastino Rescue, Inc., to help and find her a home.  She has been spayed and on 8/13/24 she had her cherry eye surgery removal.  Anita is a great girl, loves her male foster but it took a couple days for her to warm up to her female foster.  She will need time to settle into a new home.  With slow introductions she started playing with her male foster Neo brother.  If you are looking for a beautiful tawny girl, have the time/patience for Anita please go to our website at Mastino-rescue-inc.org and complete a family profile.  Anita is being fostered in Arizona but to the perfect home transportation assistance can be provided.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:33 am
