Watching him come out of his shell has been such a joy—he truly wants to connect and be close to his people.This handsome pup is a dream on leash, walking calmly by your side without pulling. He’s also very treat-motivated and already knows how to sit, which makes continuing his training both easy and fun.Evan can still be a little sensitive to touch at first, but he’s trying so hard—leaning in, learning to trust, and showing more comfort every day. It’s clear he wants affection and is figuring out how to enjoy it at his own pace. He’s done great meeting new people, including a recent introduction to a new volunteer, where he showed just how far he’s come.With a little patience and a lot of love, Evan is going to blossom into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. He is a calm, goofy, laid-back dog who enjoys relaxing with his people and being part of the family.✅ Good with small dogs (his best friend is a Chihuahua)✅ Good with children✅ Well behaved at the vet✅ Current on vaccines✅ Recent veterinary exam on 5/8/26✅ Friendly, gentle personalityHarambe is not neutered. He does have a hygroma on his elbow, but it is manageable and is currently being treated. His veterinarian recently evaluated him and he is otherwise doing well.Everyone at his recent vet visit loved him because of how calm and easygoing he was. He would do best in a home that can give him a comfortable place to relax and enjoy his senior years.There is a $30 rehoming fee to help ensure a serious adopter.
