🚗 Meet Car Jacker, aka CJ! 🚗CJ earned his name in the most CJ way possible: he spotted a random car with the door open, hopped right in, and firmly decided, "Yep. This is my ride now." 😂This 6-year-old Mastiff mix is almost 100 lbs of gentle, low-key real estate. 🐻💕 CJ is calm, never overly energetic, and would much rather lounge around than participate in any unnecessary cardio.He needs to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with cats. CJ also experiences separation anxiety, so his future family will need to understand his needs and be willing to work with him as he learns that being alone is okay. ❤️Interestingly, CJ seems especially comfortable and relaxed when he's outside sunbathing. ☀️😎 Maybe he's not looking for a chauffeur after all. Almost two years ago, 10 (or maybe 11) puppies were born and claimed as an "accidental litter". AGPR was asked in December 2024 to please, please help...the owners could not afford to feed and care for the litter. And the pups were fighting with each other. They had 10 left when they called and 8 left when we got back to them. We agreed to take 5 or 6 of the pups, even though we were over capacity and had very little space to squeeze them in. They arrived in the back of a truck a few days later.I'm Cole...Kringle's brother. My volunteer friend had fun taking photos of me a little while ago since I was intent on capturing the little skink that was playing on the tree in my exercise yard. NOTHING would deter me. I was offered treats...nope! My human friend thinks she fooled me, but I saw her capture the skink and move it away.My lady friend at the time, Gracie, was in the yard barking words of encouragement to me while I was on my big hunt. I saw the human sneak her treats behind her back and decided I needed to get some Milk Bone action.I now have a new lady friend, Trixie, who loves to play! We "rough and tumble" for a while and then love to chill out in the sun.I'd love a home with lots of human attention or a medium to large female canine playmate. Of course I'd want to "interview" her first to make sure she's as compatible as either Gracie or Trixie.Like my brother, a bit more leash walking training would be helpful. I also like to jump up for attention and I blame it on my young age. Would I like a forever home soon? You betcha!!! A nice big yard with room for Zoomies and tons of love and attention. Oh, and skinks to chase!FYI - All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). Hi - my name is Alexander but I prefer to be called "Alex". I arrived at AGPR in January 2024 at the age of about 2 months old along with four of my siblings. They've all been adopted. When I got to AGPR, I was a "scrappy little devil". I have grown almost over night and I'm now a long legged handsome boy. My coat is medium length and will be a bit easier to keep under control (remember - it is all relative).One of our volunteers decided to do a DNA test on me and also on one of my sisters. We both came up with about 45% Great Pyr and about 25% Anatolian Shepherd. The rest is a little bit of "this and that". We do know our mommy was predominantly Pyr and our daddy was said to be some sort of livestock guardian, so we believe the DNA results. I'm a little different from my siblings - I have a bobbed tail. It is genetic (and confirmed with my DNA test). It's so cute and wags like all the others when I am happy. You will find it funny when you meet me to know that I have some chihuahua in my DNA...not sure where it is!I always hear the volunteers talk about me and how handsome I am and how smart I am. They love it when they pass by my exercise run and I stick my long front leg and paw out to "Pyr paw" and remind then that I am here...waiting for a walk. Speaking of walks, I LOVE my walks! I'm a bit energetic at first - I can't help it, I just get so excited about getting out with my people and exploring nature. An interesting tidbit? I look awesome as a reindeer in the Christmas parades.I can't wait to find my forever family and home. I'm hoping for a nice big yard so I can run and play..."zoomies" are my favorite thing to do. I'd be a great walking or hiking buddy with my long legs and enthusiasm. I LOVE people but I might be a bit fussy with other dogs...it depends.
