Meet Queenie! ❤️ Queenie is a ~6.5-year-old, 110-pound Boerboel who is ready to leave kennel life behind and spend her golden years in the loving home she deserves.
Queenie came to us as an owner surrender, and while she is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl, the kennel environment has been stressful for her. She bonds deeply with her people and is happiest when she can be close to them. What Queenie really wants is a comfortable bed, a quiet home, a sunny spot in the yard, and a person to love.
Queenie is a fairly low-maintenance girl who would be perfectly content spending her days relaxing around the house, lounging with her people, and enjoying leisurely walks here and there. She would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can decompress and settle into a routine. A quiet or rural setting would be ideal for her, and she would not be a good fit for a busy city environment. Because of her age and giant-breed size, she will also need a home without stairs that she would need to navigate regularly.
Queenie does well on walks, but she is a very strong girl and does have a prey drive. Her adopters will need to be experienced with large, powerful breeds and physically capable of handling her size and strength. Queenie can not live with small dogs or cats.
Queenie as surrendered to us with Ozzie, a male Cane Corso. They can be adopted together, but because they are protective of one another, they would need to be the only dogs in the home. They can also be adopted separately into homes where they can each be the center of attention and soak up all the love they deserve.
Queenie is a big girl with an even bigger heart. ❤️ She is looking for someone experienced with giant breeds who will give her the peaceful, loving retirement she has been waiting for.
