Story
Meet Siggy – Your Loyal, Loving GuardianSiggy is a gorgeous 2-year-old brindle Great Pyrenees mix weighing 82 pounds. She is incredibly sweet, especially with children of all ages (incl. rambunctious toddlers) and gets along well with other dogs in the home. True to her breed mix, Siggy is both intelligent and protective—once you’re part of her pack, she will be fiercely devoted and always have your back.As a Pyrenees, and what we believe to be a Catahoula mix, she has strong guardian instincts. She is deeply bonded to her family “pack”, and is naturally protective. She isn’t aggressive but is true to her instincts as a protector. She’s also very submissive/eager to please—she learns quickly and never needs harsh discipline to understand what’s expected of her.Siggy does have some separation anxiety, but she does fine when she has another dog around for company while her humans are away. While Siggy is incredibly affectionate with her family, she isn’t a fan of crowded public places or strangers approaching her and her “pack”. However, if given the chance to approach others on her own terms, she is gentle and sweet. She would do best in a home that understands and respects her protective nature- one that provides the proper introduction to guests, and provides enough yard space to be a mostly stay-at-home dog, where she can love on, sunbathe, and protect, her family.Commands she knows:-sit-shake-leave it-drop itIf you’re looking for a fiercely loyal, intelligent, and loving companion who will always be by your side, Siggy is the perfect match.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Meet Daisy!Daisy is a 1-year-old, 65-pound Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws! Rescued as a stray in poor condition, Daisy has been thriving in her foster home and steadily gaining weight. She’s blossomed into a sweet, loving girl who adores bedtime cuddles and following her humans everywhere—they’ll never be alone with her around!Still a playful pup, Daisy has plenty of energy and is house trained and still learning the ropes of training like not jumping on you in excitement. She’s a smart cookie and eager to please, so with patience and consistency, she’ll become an amazing companion. Daisy loves playing with bigger, higher-energy dogs, like her foster family’s huskies, and has shown promise around cats. While she’s still learning to respect feline boundaries, she’s making great progress.Watching Daisy discover toys and grow into her happy, playful self is nothing short of heartwarming. She’s ready to bring her big heart and loyal spirit into a forever home that will love her unconditionally. Story
Boogie is a sweet, loving, and loyal Boerboel (South African Mastiff) mix who just turned 7 and weighs 130 pounds. He neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He would thrive in a home with a confident, experienced owner who doesn’t have young children. Boogie is happiest when he’s surrounded by his people, whether it’s cuddling on the couch or relaxing in the sun outside. He prefers to be the only dog in the home - expectations include laid-back female dogs. This gentle giant is a bit of a couch potato and doesn't need to be walked frequently, making him a low-energy companion. He loves to stay close to his owners (he’s a true Velcro dog!) and is always up for a good cuddle. He’s also a fan of digging, rolling around, and lounging in the dirt, so a secure fence is a must. Boogie loves to sleep by his owner's side, snoring on his back with his big feet in the air. While he may experience some separation anxiety at times, with patience and a gentle routine, he'll quickly adjust and settle

Story
Imagine finding a tiny, shivering soul, barely five weeks old, abandoned on the cold, unforgiving edge of a highway. That was Archer. He and his brother, covered in fleas and desperately malnourished, were found just in time, their fragile lives hanging in the balance. Thankfully, a loving foster family opened their hearts and home, offering them warmth, care, and a second chance. The first time his fosters took Archer and his brother into the backyard, the fear of being abandoned again was overwhelming. They ran back to their fosters, crying and shaking, a heart-wrenching reminder of their difficult start. Archer's journey has been one of resilience and transformation. He's blossomed in his foster home, surrounded by a menagerie of furry and feathered friends – dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and chickens. He's learned the joy of playful romps with big dogs, the gentle art of respecting boundaries (mostly!), and the comfort of snuggling close to a warm lap. This sweet boy, with the most endearing face you've ever seen, is a cuddle connoisseur. He'll happily settle on your lap, or as close as he can get, showering you with affection. He's a true helper, always eager to be involved in whatever you're doing. He's treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze, though he might need some guidance to remember that everyone has their own food bowl! Archer is kennel trained, but he's used to a bustling household filled with love and activity. He sleeps with a pillow, often burrowing under blankets, and he cherishes the feeling of being held close – a comfort he discovered as a tiny, vulnerable pup. Now, at about five months old and 40 pounds, Archer is growing into a big, strong boy, but his heart remains as tender as ever. He's searching for a forever home where he can share his boundless love and loyalty. He'd thrive with a family who understands his gentle nature, continues his training, and cherishes his affectionate spirit. Archer's journey began in hardship, but his story is one of hope and the enduring power of love. Will you be the one to write the next chapter of his happy ever after?
