FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Queenie is a ~6 year old, 110lb, Boerboel. She came to us with Ozzie, the male Cane Corso, and ideally we would like to adopt them out together as a bonded pair! If they are adopted separately, they will need another large calm dog of the opposite sex in the home. Queenie was an owner surrender and is such a loving girl who desperately wants to be in a home again. The kennel environment has been stressful for her and she would be so grateful to be in a home asap. She bonds deeply to her people and her dog companion and is affectionate and sweet. Queenie has been a little more stressed in the kennel environment than Ozzie and could really benefit from a calm and loving home to help her decompress. She does well on walks but is very strong, and has a prey drive, so will require adopters that can handle her size and strength. We are looking for adopters experienced with large breeds. We are continuing to socialize and evaluate Queenie’s dog socialization, but she is not good with small dogs or cats. If adopted separately from Ozzie, she will need another large calm male in the home, no small dogs. Apply if you are experienced and looking are looking for a giant lovable girl, or duo! Queenie is a wonderful girl and will make her forever family very happy! Queenie is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Orion! He is ~7-8 year-old Bullmastiff/Boerboel mix who weighs 120lbs. He came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been waiting for his forever home with us for 3 years! His perfect home would have a chill, steady, and peaceful environment. Orion walks well on a leash but can be strong and will need a family with good dog-handling skills. He is crate trained and finds comfort in a regular routine. Breed experience is required for his adopter. This big guy is looking for a quieter forever home outside of city-life. He will need a single-family detached home in a suburban or rural neighborhood. He would LOVE a large, securely fenced yard as well to roam and be with his people. In the summertime he would enjoy laying around in the sun! He can be dog selective and has shown to be friendly with submissive females but would do best as an only dog soaking up all the attention! Orion is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
Welcome Barron to CCPAL Rescue. Barron is a 4.5 month old Mastiff/Great Pyrenees. Barron is extremely affectionate and stunningly beautiful. This whole litter is soft, cuddly and affectionate. Barron would be great with a family with children. This dog has guardian breed, and would be a great family dog. He would be wonderful for a family with a dad that travels and wants to see his family has a dog that will watch out for them. Yeti went to a family with younger children and he is doing great. This is Barron’s brother. We prefer children to be 8 or older. He should be 60 pounds full grown. He likes water, decent on a leash and area trained. He will go on a potty pad. He is good with other dogs bigger than himself. His dad is a Dogo and mom is a Great Pyrenees. He energetic but can calm down and be extremely cuddly and affectionate. He has a soft coat and not a huge shedding dog. He has longer hair a little more like the GP momma. This breed is a guardian breed family even though she shows no signs of guarding anything at the moment. He is getting his vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed. Please be patient when you put in your application. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
LOCATION: Main Shelter KennelMeet the star of Jet City - Boeing! With ears as big as plane wings, she`s sure not to miss a single thing. She`s a cutie patootie who can be a bit shy at first but will start to warm up with her favorite treat ... cheese! Very sweet and loving, she has a huge heart with so much love to give. Her foster parent reports Boeing is super good on leash, and enjoys going on long walks, runs, and hikes, and going to the beach and laying in the sand. She loves car rides. Boeing is good at settling wherever she is. When she gets the zoomies, she gets super hoppy like a bunny and will tuck her tail under her and run back and forth - it’s SO cute.Indoors, Boeing only chews on her own toys, is house trained and able hold it for up to 8 hours if needed. The couch is her favorite spot for naps. She likes fetch, but sometimes forgets to bring the ball back! Every night when her foster parent gets into bed, she jumps up with her, lays on her, and asks for about 5 minutes of attention (pets, cuddles, ear scratches,) and then she’ll go to the end of the bed and settle down and fall right to sleep.Boeing does well with other dogs and regularly attends doggie playgroups at the shelter. The ideal home for this awesome pup would be a multi-person family where someone is home most of the time, and a yard for her to play in and run around. She’d be good in an apartment as well. Boeing really bonds hard with her person and she’d love it if that person was with her most of the time. Lovely Boeing can`t wait to meet you!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal.
