Story
While picking up a truck being repaired at Rick Hendricks Chevrolet in Duluth the service advisor told us about this cat that had come in a Chevy Volt undercarriage. The tech was working on the car and heard meowing. He unscrewed a panel and the cat popped out. We took it home - really sweet neutered male. He isn't that happy with our small dog and other cats but I think he would be fine with them over time. Talkative, will crawl in your lap. Ok with being picked up if you are confident about it. We took him to the vet and he doesn't have a microchip. They said he was at least 5 years old. They also tested him for feline leukemia and immunodeficiency and he came back negative. The charge was $179.05.I talked to the folks at Rick Hendricks and they said the Chevy Volt had been sitting at another dealership for a week before it was towed to Rick Hendricks. I doubt the cat could have survived that long in the car so he most likely crawled in at the previous dealership.

Story
Filbert was born in Aug. 2024 in Savannah, GA. He is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and up-to-date on Rabies and FVFCP vaccines. My daughters “adopted” his whole colony of outdoor cats, got them spayed/neutered, tested, and shots. The cats that were too feral for adoption were released back outside. The girls had not found a home for Filbert yet when they moved back to Atlanta, and they can’t keep him in their new apartment. He has been living with me, my nephew, and our 3 cats for the last few months.Filbert loves to play with toys and is very funny. He takes a while to warm up to new people, but loves to be pet when he’s used to you. He likes other cats, but our cats are very stressed with him here. I don’t see him being aggressive, but he does seem to have trouble respecting their personal space. We didn’t introduce him properly because we didn’t think he was staying with us long-term. For Filbert’s sake and for our kitties, we think it’s best for Filbert to find a new home.

Story
Grimalkin was found in our apartment complex malnourished and skittish. We’ve nursed him back to health, but I can’t sustain three cats at this time. He’s a very sweet and gentle cat who is extremely communicative. He wags his talk like a dog when he’s happy. He’s never bitten me or my roommate, and he’s only scratched us by accident. He’ll use pine or clay litter without issue. He is an intact male who is FIV+, but his general unwillingness to show any aggression means this likely won’t be an issue at all. He also doesn’t spray so far as we’ve seen. Genuinely one of the best cats I’ve ever had the pleasure of caring for.
