Story
Meet Violet! Apply to Adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Violet is a sweet, determined ~1-year-old who has worked incredibly hard to become the social, loving cat she is today. She doesn’t take trust lightly - she’s earned every bit of her confidence, and that journey has made her all the more special. She will reach out for love and let you know she wants connection, but she moves at her own pace and blossoms most with someone who meets her there. She has her own way of communicating - a soft little squeak that means she’s ready for your attention. Once she’s comfortable, she will happily chat with you about your day and soak up every gentle moment you give her. Violet has lived with a large dog and holds her own beautifully. She is also a genuine fan of other cats - feline companionship is something she truly enjoys, and a calm cat sibling could be a wonderful addition to her world. Because of her journey, Violet needs a home that is patient, calm and gentle. Loud environments or children who are still learning how to read a cat’s cues may be overwhelming for her — she deserves a space where she feels safe to keep growing at her own pace. Fully Vetted: Spayed • FVRCP & Rabies vaccinated • FeLV/FIV tested • Current on deworming & flea prevention Transport Available: Fostered in the Houston area, with transport to the PNW, Northeast, and along route — transportation costs included in the adoption fee. Adopt Violet, Help More Animals: Every adoption fee goes directly toward spaying feral cats and supporting low-income families with veterinary care. You’re not just giving Violet a home — you’re helping break the cycle of overpopulation, one life at a time.

Story
Meet Chester! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat --- Chester is a charming gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. If you are looking for a cat who truly adores people, Chester is you guy. He's incredibly affectionate, not shy in the slightest, and will happily soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. In fact, he insists on it. Chester loves to curl up right on top of you, shower you with little kisses, and be held like a baby-he's all about closeness and connection. In fact, sometimes he's so overwhelmed by his feelings he will give you a little "love nip". It's a cute trait, but can be alarming to a new cat owner who isn't expecting it ;) --- Chester is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health, despite his FIV+ diagnosis. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! Chester gets along well with other cats and would likely enjoy a feline companion. He hasn't been around dogs or children and due to his "love bites", he'd do best in a home without young kids. If you're ready for a cuddly, affectionate, slightly mischievous best friend, Chester is waiting to meet you! --- *Chester is FIV+ What is FIV? https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv *Chester can safely live with other cats, as the risk of FIV transmission is extremely low, especially in stable, non-aggressive households. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with proper care, including regular annual vet visits. To ensure his continued health, Chester must remain an indoor-only cat. Chester is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
Meet Lady Jane! This little lady is ready to be your new best friend! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/ This precious gal is ready to snuggle her way into your heart. She is a darling girl who wants to be your new best friend. She loves to play hard (especially with her brothers) and then settle down for a good nap with her kitten and human friends. She's a good little gal who is looking for her forever home!! Her three brothers have already been adopted but little Lady Jane is still waiting for her turn!! Lady Jane and her brothers were rescued from living outside on the harsh streets of Houston by a good Samaritan. They are so happy they get to live the inside cat life!! Lady is ~6 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litter box tidy - all she needs now is her forever home. Lady Jane has not met a dog before, but with slow and careful introductions to a well-behaved dog we think she will do great with a new pup sibling! Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Adopt Lady and maybe one of her adorable siblings, and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun! Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Lady Jane is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
