He may look like a serious gentleman, but he’s really a playful, affectionate goofball. He spent his early years living under a local bar before he was rescued. He was shy at first, but now he’s an absolute sweetheart. Once he trusts you, he loves cheek scratches and belly rubs, and he chirps when the pets are especially good. Wand toys are his favorite, and he’ll come running for wet food and Churu treats. **Harrison does like to love nip, because of that, a home without small children is best. He’s bonded with his buddy Rob, a creamy-grey tabby, and we’d love to see them adopted together. Harrison and Rob don't like to be held, but are complete love sponges and will lay next to you. Meet Tofu, a chunky little cuddle bug who deserves the BEST life indoors with lots of love! She would be fantastic as an only cat or if adopted with one of her kittens. --- Tofu was found on the streets of Houston with her two kittens (Bean and Edamame, also adoptable). Despite having been outdoors for the first year or two of her life, Tofu was the first to really enjoy the luxuries of an indoor life. She immediately started purring every time she saw Her Humans walk by, and it was obvious that she wanted nothing but love and a lap to snuggle on! Per her finder/foster: We suspect she didn't have the easiest life prior to being rescued, and she likely had many, many litters of kittens before Bean and Edamame. We're just glad to help be part of Tofu's journey to a forever home in a much better place!! Tofu is a pretty big cat at almost 13 lbs, but that just means there is more of her to love. She is extremely affectionate with humans and is always seeking out attention (and food of course). We haven't tried it yet, but given how food-motivated she is, you might even be able to train her to do a few tricks! --- Tofu is ~1.5-3 years old (it's very hard to pin down an exact age!), in great health, spayed, microchipped, negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. I’m Lucy, a sweet, gentle, cuddly, and affectionate Bombay mix gal who seeks out people so that I can spend time snuggled close to them. I come running when it looks like Foster Meowmy will lavishly stroke my back, scratch my cheeks, or dispense Delectables. I enjoy sleeping with her as well as playing interactively when she waves the wand toy over my head or wiggles it around the room like a snake. A teenage boy rescued my siblings, Larry and Star, and me as four-month-old orphans in his neighborhood where a lot of houses are being torn down. Apparently people move out and leave their cats behind, and the kitties congregate nearby at the antique mall where Foster Meowmy has a booth. Our rescuer couldn’t keep us because his brother is allergic to cats, so he persuaded Foster Meowmy to take us home. I fit in beautifully with the resident and foster cats, with whom my siblings and I enjoy playing. Although I’m a curious girl, I usually defer to brother Larry and follow his lead in his investigative adventures around the house. Foster Meowmy found my momma Suzy Q nursing me and my brother Ding Dong, inside an abandoned car in a field. Talk about good luck!!! Good Samaritan that she to the core, she brought us all to the safe haven of her home. Because of the danger of predators, Suzy Q was particularly appreciative that she didn’t have to leave us to hunt for food anymore! Once securely living indoors, Ding Dong and I spend our time tumbling and pouncing, wrestling and chasing, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. We keep Foster Meowmy entertained by our energetic soccer-playing with puff balls as well as basketball-alley-oops when we swat the wand toy.
