EASY-GOING LOVEBUG  DOB 9/1/21 Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/ Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My momma Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful. My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds.  Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station! https://photos.app.goo.gl/9LhdD26NmAhzMUtGA HOPE ID 21-1204-C089 Indy's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jupiter, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix gal with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat who can be a little shy at times. I have a little ritual every morning in that I come to Foster Meowmy for love and cuddles. Although a lot of my siblings like to be held tummy-up like a baby, I prefer for Foster Meowmy to hold me to her chest with my paws over her shoulder. And whereas my siblings seem to love being held endlessly, I start nibbling on Foster Meowmy if she holds me too long! After my feral momma birthed Karma, Jupiter, Opal, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, she moved us to inside a neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add). Then Meowmy moved us to a box on her porch, but when Momma saw some neighbors pick us up, she moved us a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our stowaway litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom, but I’m usually the mastermind who comes up with the most ingenious way to escape our foster bathroom and lead my siblings behind me. And once I am loose in the house, I’m very good at hiding so Foster Meowmy can’t return me to the bathroom. I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. Now I’m ready to bring my “snips-and-snails-and-puppydog-tails” boyishness and rowdy playfulness to my forever family. Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other seven #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0614-A048 Pluto’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. VELCRO KITTY WHO LOVES TO CUDDLE  DOB 4/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Onyx, a sweet, loving, and very playful Bombay mix fella with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. Bombays are often called Velcro cats because we like to stick so close to our hoomans, and I am always delighted to spend time cuddling with Foster Meowmy any chance I can grab. You see, I have to share her time and attention with my three littermates as well as another litter of four kittens. Here’s the story: My feral momma birthed Obsidian, Jasper, Topaz, and me underneath the seat of an old car parked in a used-car business . Foster Meowmy’s finding us when we were only about three weeks old might never have happened if she hadn’t been trying to rescue the other set of kittens whom another feral momma had birthed outside of Foster Meowmy’s house. The other momma had moved her litter from Meowmy’s yard to inside her neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add) and ultimately a few doors down to the used-car business. Imagine Meowmy’s surprise when she found not only the kittens she’d been tracking under the driver’s seat but also my litter under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our "stowaway" litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were seven weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! All eight of us tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I love to sleep in the bathroom sink because it’s my favorite “bed” when I need a little “time out” from the kitten frenzy. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom so we can play with the resident two-year-old cat and explore Foster Meowmy's bedroom. I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. Now I’m ready to bring my stunning good looks and affectionate cuddling to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other seven #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Meet Delilah. a Bombay Beaut with melodious purr and gorgeous emerald eyes—people say they melt hearts. My story is a tear jerker, so grab some tissues. Adopted as a kitten, I spent 5 wonderful years in a loving home, until life changed when my human lost her job/home and had to let me go. I tried again, but the next home had a cat who bullied me for 6 long months. But third time is the charm! I am your ultimate quiet, loyal, and affectionate cat companion. I can be a bit shy at first, but I’m as sweet as can be. I love to rest beside my humans, soak up the pets, rub my cheek against you, purr like soothing white noise, and elevator-bum with the best of them. Give me your heart and home, and my emerald eyes will never stop looking at you with an undying love that will melt your soul! -reach out today to meet me asap! -see me at Petsmart 2902 S Shepherd Dr Sat and Sun 1130-4p.

WHAT AN ADORABLE MINI-PANTHER!  DOB 4/2/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Frankie, and I’m a sweet, friendly, easygoing, and gentle Bombay mix fella who knows my name and comes when Foster Meowmy calls me! I like it when Foster Meowmy holds me when she’s sitting down, but, like a lot of kitties, I’m not crazy about being picked up and carried around. Of course I luxuriate when she scratches my ears, cheeks, and chin. Like most Bombay mixes, I look like a little panther with my sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and my copper-penny eyes. Foster Meowmy trapped my foster buddy Sweet Peach and me because she thought we were feral kittens, but we ended up being friendly enough for her to keep us inside to try to socialize us instead of releasing us back outdoors. Her efforts panned out, and we tamed up nicely after about a month. Although Sweet Peach and I are not littermates, we are very bonded to each other. We both love to play interactively with Foster Meowmy when she waves the wand toy over our heads or wiggles it around the room like a snake for us to chase. I’m a dominant male, and whereas Sweet Peach thinks I’m wonderful, there’s a good deal of tension when I’m around Foster Meowmy’s resident cats. Now I’m ready to bring my sweet personality and panther-like good looks to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me with Sweet Peach. Two is more fun than one, and we can be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. COMES RUNNING WHEN SHE HEARS HER NAME CALLED  DOB 9/10/17 Hey there, everyone! I’m Lilly a sweet, friendly Bombay mix gal, a mini-panther with big amber eyes, who comes running when Foster Meowmy calls my name! That’s because I know what’s in store -- either petting or yummy treats. Foster Meowmy knows just how to scratch the top of my head, ears, chin, and cheeks so that I’m in ecstatic bliss. However, like most kitties, I’m not a big fan of being picked up and held. I’m great with most people, dogs, and other cats, although, when necessary, I’m independent enough to keep to myself and not be too “needy.” When I was barely more than a kitten myself, I ran into future Foster Meowmy’s apartment one rainy day, hid under her bed, and gave birth to four kittens a few hours later. When Foster Meowmy got me fully vetted, she discovered that I was positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from another cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections. Now that HOPE has a few pet-store partners who allow FIV+ kitties to come to adoption events, Foster Meowmy hopes that I can find my forever home. Since I get along with most two-legged and four-legged critters, there are lots of homes where I’d fit like a glove. Since I’d been used to (and loved!) being outside before I met Foster Meowmy, I’ve never been a big fan of being indoors. It would be great if I could find a home with a screened window or “catio” where I could feel close to the outdoors while still remaining safe and sound.  Arrange to meet me today! Let’s write new chapters in our lives together! HOPE ID 25-0226-A006 Lilly's $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Meet Scoobie!! This handsome guy and his best bud Jimmy Jr. are searching for their forever home in the new year!!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Scoobie is ~9 month old! After being found as a stray, Scoobie quickly settled into life as an indoor kitten. He loves to play with toys and foster siblings. He is a huge fan of sleeping in dog beds or large cat beds with his best buddy Jimmy Jr.. When the mood strikes him, he will zip up and down the halls chasing balls or other rolling toys. At night both boys will join their people on the bed for cuddles. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Scoobie has not met a dog before, but with slow and careful introductions to a well-behaved dog we think he would do great with a new pup sibling! --- Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Scoobie will be microchipped, neutered, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. They are in excellent health! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Scoobie is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! To learn more about our TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) efforts, please follows us on Instagram @roses_rescues_htx. (All adoption fees also include transportation costs, spay/neuter of the animal, vaccinations, and microchipping.)

Story
Meet Bella Noche, the beautiful and cuddly void kitty of your dreams! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Bella Noche is a stunning all-black beauty with a gentle soul to match. She's on the shy side and likes to take her time getting to know people, but once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate personality truly shines. She does wonderfully with kids and is very patient- she just appreciates a calm approach and a little time to warm up. Bella Noche prefers the company of female cats but can warm up to male cats. She does great with dogs in the foster home and handles them like a pro. Bella Noche is spayed, up to date on age appropriate shots. All she needs now is a forever home! Bella Noche is litter box trained, has excellent manners, and would thrive in a home looking for a loyal, easygoing companion. With the right introductions, she could settle nicely into a home with friendly pets—or she’d be equally content soaking up all the love as your one-and-only. Location & Transport Bella Noche is currently in Houston, Texas, but can be transported to the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or cities along the route. Adoption Application Apply to adopt Bella Noche here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat _ _ _ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Story
Meet Clementine!! This girl is looking for her forever home for the new year!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Clementine joined our foster program after being found with a new litter of kittens by a Good Samaritan! Her babies are all weaned now, and she is ready for her forever home. Clementine is approximately 2yrs old. She loves to be near her person getting the pets she definitely deserves. Clementine is so sweet and calm, but we think she will be quite playful in her forever home. She can be a bit sensitive about being pet on her hind end, so she is best with older kids and cat-savvy people. She would be an excellent only cat, or will do just fine with a buddy or friendly resident cat. She definitely prefers to keep her "clan" small though after raising litters of kittens all on her own -- who can blame her?! This lovely little lady is such a joy and will be a great addition to a calm, cat-savvy household. She's sweet as can be, ready to give love and snuggles, and is hoping for someone to give her a chance this holiday season! Could that person be you? --- Clementine will be microchipped, spayed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. She is in excellent health! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Clementine is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
