It is very sad that we have to rehome our kitty, she loves to talk to you when she wants food. She is an amazing snuggle buddy when you have a cozy blanket.

Story
Hi there, my name is Chiktu, which means sticky or affectionate - and that is me! I love being with my people and want to be where the action is. I am a chatty girl, and I will come when I am called - because maybe there is a treat for me or a lap that I can sit in. I am about 5 years old. I have been known to be a bit timid when we get company, but I can eventually get coaxed to come out and engage with the visitors. We have a cat friend, and I would really like to play - but she is more inclined to groom me, but I need some play time. I definitely would need to have a playmate. I don't have any dog experience, but maybe a smaller dog might be good - as long as they are nice! As with all animal introductions, slow is always best. I have gotten into trouble eating things that I am not supposed to have - shoelaces or draw strings are my most common thing - that is really not a good thing - and I get into trouble with that. It might have something to do with being bored. I do like to play, so maybe those interactive toys might be good for me too. I have had some outdoor time, but I can easily adjust to an indoor life. Maybe a perch by the window so I can watch the birds and squirrels. I am current on my vaccines, microchipped and very good with the litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
This is Toothless. She is 2 years old and we adopted her from the Humane Society. She is incredibly sweet and loves attention. She does not bite or scratch. She can coexist with other cats, but she prefers her own space and does best as the only cat, where she can receive all the attention. Toothless has a lot of anxiety and is very sensitive to changes in routine and environment, which is why we are needing to rehome her. My work schedule is unpredictable, and with young children in the house, the inconsistency has led to stress-related inappropriate urination. When I am home, she has no issues. When I brought her to a friend’s home where only one person lives and the schedule is consistent, she absolutely flourished without any behavioral or urination issues. My friend unfortunately is unable to adopt her. Toothless is easily stressed and would do best in a quiet, predictable home with one to two adults.
