She came from a very loving home, but when her owner had to move into assisted care, Sophie sadly couldn’t come along. Despite the change, she remains a truly darling girl who bonds closely with her person. Sophie warms up quickly once she’s familiar with your face and feels safe. She strongly prefers women, as men tend to make her nervous. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate—she loves curling up on laps, staying close, and exploring her surroundings with curiosity. Sophie would do best as the only dog in the home. While she can tolerate other dogs, she is most comfortable having her people, food, and toys to herself, and she thrives when she doesn’t have to compete for attention. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccines, and looking for a calm, understanding home where she can be the center of someone’s world.
