Meet Mable! Kid-friendly, loves everyone, house trained, sleeps in her own bed all night, medium energy and can happily be left alone for 4+ hours! This outgoing little terrier mix girl is well-adjusted, super affectionate, and absolutely delighted to meet just about every human she encounters. She loves adults and kids alike and is a champion kisser...expect plenty of enthusiastic licks, kisses, and belly rubs! At 16+ pounds, she’s a softly scruffy, sturdy little girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She settles into new surroundings remarkably quickly and makes herself right at home. She’s comfortable going up and down stairs, loves perching on the window seat to watch the world go by, and is curious and engaged without making a fuss about everything she sees. She loves toys, walks well on leash, and rides beautifully in the car, making her an easy companion for everyday life and adventures. She gets very excited about treats, knows sit, and takes treats with an incredibly soft and gentle mouth. She also loves other dogs. She has been curious but not aggressive with a very mellow, dog-savvy cat. A running or highly active cat would likely spark more interest, so thoughtful introductions would be best. And for a girl who loves being with her people, she has a great independent side: she sleeps peacefully in her own bed all night and has done well being left home alone for 4+ hours. Her terrier coat is soft rather than coarse and should be very manageable with some basic grooming and brushing. She’d be a wonderful fit for a family with kids or anyone looking for an affectionate canine sidekick. She’s happy, social, adaptable, playful, and eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. This is a delightful, go-everywhere, do-everything companion who is ready to fall completely in love with her people and shower you with affection in return.

Pikachu is looking for her forever home. This little moppet is 3 years old and about 12lbs. And 100% adorable and a true presence! Pikachu is a silly, affectionate little girl who had her heart broken when her adopters returned her after nearly a year. She thought she had a forever home, but they were unable to follow on a commitment they made to continue her training. But we are HAPPY to have her back and promise her this next home will not let her down. Pikachu always does well with the dogs in her foster homes. Right now, she has two buddies in her foster home and is respectful with them. And she's had fun at a local dog park. Pikachu is a very playful, cuddly girl and does well with men, women and older children. She loves sofa time, cuddles and exploring the yard. Belly rubs are required. Pikcachu should go to a home with children over age 10+. Pikachu is currently learning much thanks to the help of the team at @rfrdacademy and her new foster family. She is working on her leash manners. Pikachu is leash reactive and alerts her walker when people are nearby (and not so nearby). With the right leadership and the consistency of positive training, she is doing well with minimal reaction to dogs. She has room for improvement on her leash walking and so we are working with her on this! Pikachu is worth the effort. We are looking for a home that is ready and willing to have keep on working with Pikachu. She wants a owner that will continue to set her up for success. And we are here to help with that.     @rfrdacademy is located in San Jose, CA and we will provide training with David and his team. 2 sessions to reinforce the training. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption.
