Story
Hi ya, friends!!! It’s me, Frisco! I’m an 8-years-young Cairn Terrier weighing just 12 lbs, which makes me the perfect size for scooping up and snuggling! I’m a true gentleman and a sweet boy who LOVES being with my humans—I’ll follow you everywhere because I never want to lose sight of you. My beautiful full tail is always wagging, especially when I see my favorite people! I’m not a fan of crate time, but I’m happy to nap in another room when you go out. When you come back though? Get ready for ALL the wiggles! I love attention and soaking up every bit of love you’ll give me. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy being near them, watching them play in the yard. I’m more of an observer than a player myself, but I love their company! I don’t know about cats or kids yet, but since I’m such a gentle soul, older kids would probably be just fine. I LOVE car rides and watching the world go by from the window. I enjoy exploring the neighborhood and continue to improve my leash-walking skills especially when treats are involved! My foster mom is also helping me brush up on my house manners so I can be my absolute best doggie self for you! Think we might be a match made in heaven? Apply today at www.floridacockerrescue.org! Adoption Fee: $285

Story
Rocket came from a Shelter scared, shaking, and not in a good place, but we could already see the sweet soul underneath. Rocket is a young dog, and from experience we know that little terriers are not only adorable but have some of the best personalities. Rocket has since had a dental, been neutered, and is fully vaccinated—he’s now healthy and ready for adoption. We are looking for a specific home for him: a calm, loving household with at least one other small dog, so he can play, gain confidence, and truly blossom into the happy dog he’s meant to be. A note from his foster Mom: "I'm a petite lil dude with a big heart looking for true love. I'm the real deal and this time around I'm looking for a real lifelong commitment. I'm still very young so make sure you are in it for the long haul. I thought I landed that in the past but was left high and dry so if you're just here looking to play games, keep swiping. I like to take things slow when meeting new people. I'm a bit of an introvert and takes me a bit to warm up but when I do you will realize you hit the jackpot!! I can't have my own children (some guy in a white jacket did something to me to prevent that). As far as living in a home with a pre-made family with little one's is just not for me. You see, I LOVE McDonald's and I will bolt out that door faster than a rat up a drainpipe and you can't catch me. I do very well in a crate but would prefer to be snuggeled up next to my new found love. I do require an extremely secure fence because I have been known to "step-out" when given the opportunity. If you are still reading this and have love and patience to give we should meet up for a burger!" Rocket’s adoption fee is $250, and he is worth every little bit of it. For the safety and well-being of our dogs, we do not adopt to families with young children. If you are a senior, we kindly ask that you consider one of our more mature dogs, as they may be a better match. We also do not adopt out of state, unless you have a second home in Florida. Our goal is always to place Rocket in the home where he will be happiest, safest, and able to thrive.

Story
Hi I'm Cantiflas! I'm a little 16lb scruffy guy estimated at 2-3 years old who was abandoned and found trying to survive on my own. I was in ruff condition and very scared, but over the past several months I have learned to trust humans and came out of my shell thanks to a wonderful foster family. I have been in foster now for the last month and here’s what my foster parents say “ Cantiflas is perfect in the house and has completely adapted to the environment. He gets along well with other dogs and even likes playing with the cat! He is skittish when meeting new people, but warms up fairly quickly.”***Due to feedback from foster, we are currently requiring there be another existing dog in the household.”***My rescue can't be sure of my breed, but I look to be a border terrier/schnauzer mix, best guess. I have received all of the general and medical care I needed to now be ready for my forever home. My one lingering issue is that I tested heartworm-positive and am currently undergoing treatment using the "slow kill" method, which will have to be continued by my adopters by administering oral meds. My rescue will cover the expenses for those medications and retesting until I test negative, which will happen in due time. My $350.00 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, neuter, heartworm meds until a negative test result, microchip and deworming, all already done. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.gofar.dog and complete an adoption application. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
