NAME:  Cataleya BREED:  Terrier mix SEX:  Female COLOR:  black/brown/white AGE:  2 yrs as of June 2026 WEIGHT:  14 lbs Meet Cataleya!  Cataleya is a 2-year-old Terrier mix weighing 14 pounds, with a bright mind, an adventurous spirit, and a heart that's still learning that the world can be a safe place. This beautiful girl is incredibly smart. Give her a puzzle, a challenge, or a new adventure, and she's ready to put her brain to work. Cataleya loves learning, exploring, and figuring things out. She's the kind of dog who pays attention to everything and is always thinking one step ahead. While Cataleya can be shy with new people, her caution comes from uncertainty, not aggression. When she's nervous, she may let out a high-pitched squeal or even flash her front teeth as if to say, Please give me a minute! But she's never bitten anyone. She simply needs a little time and patience to realize you're a friend. Once Cataleya understands that you're not going to hurt her, she relaxes and begins to show her sweet and curious personality. Cataleya is happiest in a calm, predictable environment where she feels secure. She actually enjoys her crate and often sees it as her safe place. Unlike many dogs, she's not particularly interested in spending long periods outdoors and would much rather be inside with her people once she's had a chance to stretch her legs. She's also a bit of an athlete. In fact, Cataleya can climb a chain-link fence, so any future family will need to keep that impressive talent in mind when managing outdoor time. Cataleya gets along with other dogs, although she's more independent than social butterfly. She'll play occasionally, but she's generally more focused on doing her own thing than joining every canine party. What Cataleya needs most is a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned. Someone who will let her move at her own pace, celebrate her victories, and appreciate the incredible bond that develops when a shy dog learns she's finally home. The best things in life are'nt always immediate. Sometimes they're earned one small moment at a time. And Cataleya is absolutely worth the wait. Story
Meet Toto – Cute as a Button, but Not for Everyone! Oh, Toto! With that adorable face, it would be easy to fall head over heels for this little guy. But Toto is a dog whose needs go far beyond his cute appearance, and finding the right home for him will take a very special person. Toto is loving, sweet, and devoted to the people he knows and trusts. He is a fun boy with lots of energy. Once you have earned his respect, you will see the affectionate side of this boy that makes him so special. But trust with Toto is earned, not given, and it will take time, patience, and more than a single visit to build a relationship with him. Toto is extremely protective of his person, and his behavior must be taken seriously. He is reactive on leash around other dogs and people, particularly when another dog reacts to him first. Interestingly, he can do quite well with other dogs in one-on-one situations, so thoughtful introductions and the right canine match may be possible. Life with Toto requires an understanding of management and safety. He will need someone who recognizes his triggers, respects his boundaries, and is committed to keeping both him and the people around him safe. Visitors will need to be managed carefully, which means having a secure plan to keep Toto safely contained when company comes over. This is not a dog you can simply introduce to everyone and expect him to be comfortable. Toto needs an experienced, responsible adopter who sees the dog behind the adorable face. Someone who understands that love doesn't mean ignoring behavioral challenges, and that keeping a dog safe sometimes means setting firm boundaries. He needs a person willing to put in the work, respect his limitations, and celebrate the trust that develops along the way. Toto isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's okay. We aren't looking for just anyone to fall in love with his face. We're looking for the right person who understands what life with Toto will really look like and is prepared to commit to him. If you're experienced with protective, reactive dogs and believe you have the patience, judgment, and dedication Toto needs, we'd love to talk with you. His cute face may catch your eye, but earning his trust is where the real magic begins.

Story
Meet Narshi! 🐾 Narshi or Narsh-Mello (know by his foster mom) is an 18-month-old neutered charcoal-and-white handsome boy who has come such a long way since he came to his foster mom. When he first came to us, he was very shut down and scared of the world. But with patience, love, and a safe place to grow, Narshi has truly blossomed—and we couldn’t be more proud of him! Today, Narshi is part of a family of five and even dealing with all the kids in the house. He learning all about the joys of family life. Although we think Narshi would prefer a more quiet home with older kids or no kids. He has doggy and kitty friends and he is doing wonderfully! He is potty trained, sleeps beautifully in his crate or loves to snuggle up with his people in bed. Narshi absolutely loves going for walks and is ready to experience everything life has to offer. The transformation in this sweet boy has been incredible. The scared pup we first met has turned into a loving snuggle bug who is ready for adventures, new experiences, and his very own forever family. Narshi is the kind of dog who reminds us just how much love, patience, and time can change a life. ❤️ He is ready to blossom into whatever wonderful adventure comes next! Narshi is up to date on vaccines and heartworm and flea prevention and is ready to find his forever home. 🏡 🐶 He is being fostered in Sarasota fl 🌴 His adoption fee is $300 and here's where to apply: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt Just a reminder - Narshi can live to 16+ years and is only 1 right now. We are looking for an age appropriate adopter than commit to his entire lifespan.
