This absolutely incredible, snuggly, scruffy little muppet of a baby is Birdie! This amazing girl was abandoned with other dogs at an apartment building and everyone was absolutely in shock to see this girl was homeless and in need! Thankfully a fabulous foster home immediately stepped up to take her in while she got ready for adoption! Birdie is only a year old, weighing in at a full grown 15 lbs. She looks like the twin of Toto from the Wizard of Oz!! Shes been to the vet for all care to get ready for adoption and she is now current on vaccines, deworming, heartworm tested negative, current on preventative as well as being microchipped and spayed! Everything is officially complete and she’s ready to find true love! This girl is the most fun loving, adorable, silly, happy, quintessential little scruff! She absolutely loooooooves other animals and is so playful with other dogs! She’s definitely still a puppy and loves to run and play with other pups, play with toys, car rides, any adventure this brilliant little doll is ready for! She still gives lots of puppy kisses and is a master snuggler! She sleep in bed with her foster parents through the night and absolutely loves to cuddle in bed. Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. Welcome Leader to CCPAL Rescue. Leader is a Cairn Terrier Mix. He is friendly with other dogs and came in with 2 other dogs. He came in with a pregnant momma dog and a male dog named Arty. Arty and Leader have play time and are kenneled together at the Rescue. Leader is 26 pounds and is about 2 years old. His teeth look clean so he won’t need a dental anytime soon. His coat wasn’t as pretty as it is now that he has been in the Rescue a couple of weeks. He is getting lots of daily attention and good nutrition. He is getting his DHPP vaccines and will get Rabies when neutered. He would be fine in a home with a moderately active family. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He will need brushing and maybe some grooming to have the tip top coat. He isn’t a big shedding dog. He is vocal but not over the top. I would call him an alert dog bark. He will alert you that something is different or someone different is here. He settles down nicely and is also able to be relaxed and chill. He would be able to go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is social and very happy. He is independent and not too clingy. He isn’t used to constant touching and attention and is fine relaxing by you and watching what you are doing. We would love this boy to have his very own forever home where he can get daily attention, walks and everything a loved dog gets. He was from an overcrowded situation….maybe a City Removal type case. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
