Story
Hi, I’m Thea, and I’m hoping you might be the one I’ve been waiting for.I was found roaming the streets of Tennessee with my friend Ross. Sadly, no one ever came looking for either of us, and now we find ourselves searching for something new—a forever family to call our own. Ross and I aren’t bonded, so I’m free to start my next chapter either as your one-and-only or with another friendly dog in the home.I’m a low‑key, gentle girl who truly enjoys the simple things in life. A sunny day spent watching the birds and bees, hanging out while you garden, or curling up nearby while you watch TV sounds just perfect to me. I don’t need big adventures—leisurely walks, quiet companionship, and time together are more my style. One thing you should definitely know about me: I love treats! I’m very food‑motivated and always excited for a tasty reward (or two). More than anything, though, I’m ready to give and receive lots of love. I’ve already known what it’s like to be lost and worried, and I’m hoping to never feel that way again. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who will happily share life’s peaceful moments with you, I might just be your girl. Please give me the forever home I deserve, so I can finally stop wandering and start belonging.Love,Thea 🐾If interested in Thea, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:Thorough veterinary examination. All routine annual vaccinations, includingRabies, DHLPPBordetella (Kennel Cough)Heartworm TestFecal Test, DewormingMicrochipFlea and Tick PreventionHeartworm Prevention.Spay/NeuterAll dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. Story
Harley is a great companion dog. He gets along well with other dogs and cats but would really prefer to be the "one and only". He probably won't do well with younger children. After breakfast, Harley enjoys his morning walks. He just loves the water and spends much of the summer in his kiddie pool. Harley is a senior rescue dog acquired about 5 years ago from Dakin Humane Society. His actual age is unknow but is at least 10 years. Harley loves to run around in his fenced in yard. He has unlimited access through his doggie door to the backyard. Unfortunately health issues as well as new to a "fixed" income have made it difficult to continue to care for Harley as he deserves. I am no longer able to take him on walks or to groom him as I once was. I am looking to rehome Harley so that he gets the love an care he needs.

Story
Meet Miles — a young, scruffy puppy currently estimated to be 3 months old and weighing around 10 pounds. We believe this little one may be a Cairn Terrier mix, but as with many rescue pups, their exact breed blend is unknown. What we can say for sure is that Miles is 100% deserving of a loving home. Miles is currently thriving and is beginning to explore the world through play, naps, mealtime routines, and gentle socialization. While he has that adorable, wiry, scruffy coat, his personality is incredibly lovable and chill for a pup his age. Like most puppies, life right now revolves around eating, sleeping, learning, and building bonds with people. Every day brings a new experience, and with it, Miles is developing the foundation for becoming a confident and well-adjusted adult dog. You can see his sweet personality in action here: https://youtu.be/UpFE-bk0Z5s We understand that bringing a puppy home is a big decision, and we want to set both you and Miles up for success. Puppies require time, patience, and consistency. Miles will benefit from Crate Training & Structure, helping him feel secure in his own space, continuing to build his relaxed, teaching him important life skills like potty training, leash walking, and basic manners. It’s important to keep in mind that puppies may grow into active, intelligent dogs who thrive with regular mental and physical stimulation. Even a chill pup like Miles will need adopters who are prepared to meet those needs with training, play, and engagement—not just now, but through adulthood. If you’re ready to invest in the journey and build a lasting relationship with a sweet, scruffy best friend, Miles might be the perfect match. Story
Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Kaylee, a super senior Cairn Terrier with a bright spirit and plenty of charm. She is currently sporting a bit of a silly haircut after her coat needed to be shaved due to matting, but her beautiful coat will grow back in no time.Kaylee is a smart, engaging girl who enjoys meeting new people. She can be a little cautious with handling at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and playful personality shines through. At the shelter, she has been both quiet and surprisingly bouncy, showing she still has plenty of life and curiosity to share. She has lived with other dogs and may do well with a respectful canine companion. Kaylee recently had dental care and is feeling much better as she looks ahead to her next chapter. While she still has plenty of energy, Kaylee would do best in a home that can offer her a soft place to land, with patience, walks, kindness, and understanding as she settles in. Kaylee needs work on housetraining and doesn`t want to live with children. If you are looking to give a deserving senior a loving retirement, Kaylee is ready to meet you. If you are interested in adopting Kaylee, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm during our walk in hours. If you are unable to come during walk in times, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to check what other times/days may be available by appointment.
