Dulce is Spanish for sweet, and we cannot imagine a more fitting name for this teeny tiny girl. From her soulful eyes and adorable scruffy face to the way she gently nuzzles into you like you are her favorite warm spot, everything about Dulce Kisses is soft and sweet. She may need a little time before showing you her cuddly side, but once she decides you are safe, she will lean against your legs for affection, place a tiny paw on you asking to be picked up, and crawl right into your lap. With animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. What we do know is that she is a teeny tiny little thing with the sweetest scruffy face! Dulce is dog friendly and has done great with the dogs we have introduced her to. She is also fostered in a home with other dogs and has spent time around dogs both her size and larger than her. Dulce has a gentle approach and appreciates dogs who understand that. She is not the type to immediately jump into play or enjoy another dog being pushy or all up in her face. Give her a little time, though, and you may catch her offering the cutest mini play bow or happily trotting alongside her new friend. She could live with another small gentle dog or even a larger dog who is calm and respectful. Dulce also met our house cat, Biggie, and was very appropriate and respectful with him. She did not chase him and was not bothered by Biggie jumping around or doing the funny things cats do. Biggie seemed comfortable around her too! We do not know whether Dulce has ever lived with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her interact with one. If you have a cat at home, we can arrange a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! New people and unfamiliar environments can feel a little overwhelming to Dulce at first, so she will need someone willing to let her open up at her own pace. Her affection is worth the wait. Before you know it, she will be pressed against your legs, gazing up at you with those soulful eyes and asking to be scooped into your lap. She is incredibly loving and affectionate once she feels comfortable, and we have a feeling her favorite place will always be wherever her person happens to be. Dulce is crate trained and generally seems comfortable relaxing in her crate. From what we have seen so far, she also appears to understand where the appropriate potty places are. She loves treats, takes them very gently, and already knows how to sit. Treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to her heart! For now, Dulce would do best in a quieter home with a yard where she can settle in without the noise and commotion of big-city life. She could use a little more practice on leash, so a patient family who can help her build confidence at her own pace would be perfect. Dulce does not need anyone to rush her. She simply needs a soft place to land, gentle hands to guide her, and a lap that is ready to become her favorite warm spot. Butter Believe It doesn’t know it yet, but there are a whole lot of good things waiting for her. There are toys she hasn’t discovered, grass she hasn’t run through, treats she hasn’t tasted, and people she hasn’t met yet who may someday wonder how their home ever felt complete without her. For now, Butter Believe It is a newborn baby girl, and her world is exactly as small and cozy as it should be. Her days are spent eating, sleeping, staying warm, and growing alongside her littermates, Gouda Little Gooda, Cream Dream Supreme, and Cheddar Little Charmer. We don’t know yet whether Butter Believe It will grow into the adventurous puppy who wants to investigate everything, the silly one who keeps everyone laughing, or the one who always finds the best place to curl up for a nap. She’s still too little to tell us, and we’re happy to let her show us when she’s ready. Over the next several weeks, Butter Believe It will start experiencing so many firsts. Her world will get bigger, her personality will begin showing itself, and we’ll start learning all the little things that make her different from her siblings. Welcome Boscoe to CCPAL Rescue. Boscoe is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is a lower energy and a little shy. His teeth are white and clean as his adult teeth haven’t been in too long. He is good on a leash and bigger than the other two at 15 pounds. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would probably look Schnauzer if he had the cut. His coat is a little course and not as soft as the schnauzer coat. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one or two person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Bitsy to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-pound small Terrier/Cairn mixed pup. Her mom is Monica. She was on the street as a stray. We took her in to find out she was pregnant. The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Bitsy is one of the smaller pups in the litter. She is full of personality and very good with her litter group. She goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. She likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. We do think Bitsy will be 15 pounds or less full grown. She is not a big shedder. She will make some lucky family a good pet. Anyone who adopts a puppy should not work all day everyday because a puppy needs to be with their family and not home alone all day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. She will be a great dog for a social person wanting a matching puppy personality. She would be fine in a smaller condo size yard. She would be fine with other dogs. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is getting spayed, vaccinated and she will be ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. He has a fluffy coat but not as fluffy as his sister Hannah. He is cute and has the most adorable expressions. He likes being held and is very trusting of all people. He should be 10 to 12 pounds is our best guess full grown. He should be small enough to take with you in a doggy sling or bag. He is a fun pup to pet because of his coat. He is full of personality and very good with his litter group. He goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. He likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds.
