Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Annie is a 6 year old Cairn Terrier who found her way to Wag N Train after being released from the commercial breeding industry. Since coming to her foster home, Annie has embraced the pet life with all the zest and joy that only a Terrier can. She’s ready to find her forever and join your family. Annie is all Terrier with her fiesty spirit and “make me” glint in her eye. She is an energetic dog who loves to play with toys and chase balls. She likes to play with her foster dog siblings as well, but doesn’t seek them out. She prefers to play independently and spend time with her humans. She would do well as an “only child” so to speak. When she’s not playing, Annie can be found chewing on a bone or snuggling on the couch. She’s really the best of both worlds, energetic and friendly enough to go, go, go with her people and when they rest she’s happy to do so. Annie is still working on walking on a leash, but she’s super smart and with time it’ll be second nature. Annie is also working on potty training. She will go each time she’s taken out, but if she’s not kept on schedule she may have an accident. Again, with time she will master this skill as well. Annie has been spayed, had her teeth cleaned, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She’s healthy overall and ready to enjoy being someone’s pampered pet. The suggested adoption donation for Pistol Annie is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Hi! My name is Gator. I checked in when I first got to rescue, but so much has changed. You probably remember my tie-dyed man pants. Well, I was not a fan and it turns out that I don’t have to wear them if I do my potty business outside. So, I do my business outside. I eat my kibble in my kennel which works out great since there are kibble thieves in the house. I enjoy chin scratches and am learning how to “chill” on the couch with humans of all ages. I show them affection with gentle kisses. I have had so many new culinary experiences – hamburger, peanut butter, cheeses, but my fav is Velveeta. I even will inch ever so slowly and take said treats from your outstretched hand. Did you know there are things called dog toys? Wow! When I saw the other dogs shaking and carrying those things, I decided to give it a go. I liked it. I continue to be a sidewalk hugger, so my leash skills are a work in progress. After an action-packed day, you can find me in my kennel, ready to be tucked in for the night. So, there you have it, three weeks out of a commercial breeding facility and my life has flipped. I am looking for my forever. I would like a confident dog so I continue honing my dog skills. Put in an app for me and I’ll see ya later --- GATOR! Hi! My name is Gator. I turned 6 on May 3 and I can’t wait to see what the next 6 years bring. Turns out I enjoy chin scratches, hanging with other dogs and keeping an eye on my people. I am sporting fashionable man pants while I work on the house potty rules. I know, I know, simply adorable. I experienced some couch time with the humans, and I must say, I could get used to this. I even graced them with gentle kisses. I went out for a “walk” which generated much enthusiasm from the resident dog. I don’t get it yet, but as far as I can tell the humans here don’t give up easily. I am sure to get additional opportunities to gain “leash skills” – whatever that is. I have had so many new culinary experiences – hamburger, peanut butter, cheeses, but my fav is Velveeta. So, there you have it, one week out of a commercial breeding facility and my life has flipped.
