Story
Meet Eddie! He’s a 2 yr old, 19 lb Cairn Terrier mix originally from Oklahoma. He has a super soft coat and will need periodic grooming appts. Eddie is super sweet, loyal, and has beautiful human eyes. He would love a family with children as he is all about playing. He loves fetch, tug, and running around. He also enjoys car rides, toys and treats, and is past the naughty puppy stage. He is housebroken, crate trained, and good with other dogs. This cute boy currently sleeps in his crate, but he’d much rather be on the bed with his people. Eddie walks well on a leash, but can be sneaky about slipping out the front door for a dash. He will need some continued training on sit and stay, and extra care around doors. He will make a wonderful companion for one lucky family. Eddie is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption! Adoption donation fee is $400. To apply for Eddie, please fill out an application in the drop down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! May 4, 2024, 3:33 pm

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Ivy is a 2 year old purebred Westie with a happy, lively personality! She likes to play and be chased by other dogs, enjoys walks and doesn't want to be left behind! She enjoys her human and canine companions and will definitely ask for attention. At times she gets pretty excited and energetic but we are working on a nice calm sit to help her learn what's expected in order to get attention. Her new family may need to continue working on this with her. Due to living her formative years in a commercial breeding facility, Ivy never had the chance to be a "puppy" and she is making up for lost time. A home that can keep her physically and mentally challenged will be ideal. Ivy has struggled with submissive and excitement urination but foster family stresses energy management and they attempt to keep the excitement level to a minimum to reduce the likelihood of "accidents". While Ivy walks nicely on leash, she would prefer a fenced yard and a resident terrier to romp and play with. She has lived with older children without issues. The suggested adoption donation for Ivy is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Shawn O'Casey is a happy, lively fellow who was recently released from a commercial breeding facility. He energetically embraces life with joy and exuberance and doesn't know a stranger! Shawn will be a perfect match for an active couple or family who can keep him physically and mentally exercised and challenged. Manners classes will benefit this lad and a securely fenced yard will be a requirement as he loves to run and explore, making up for all those months of confinement during his puppyhood. Shawn would love a canine friend with which to wrestle and tag-team the bunnies and squirrels in your yard. As a typical terrier, he plays hard so a dog close to his size and age will be ideal. The suggested adoption donation for Shawn is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit.
