Story
Meet Agnes 💕 A goofy little shadow who just wants to love and be loved Agnes came to us as a transfer from another shelter, and she’s quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her sweet personality and adorable quirks. This lovable girl is equal parts snuggle monster, adventure buddy, and attention hog — happiest when she’s close to her people and included in the fun. While Agnes can be a little shy or nervous at first, she warms up into a playful, affectionate Velcro dog who loves companionship and isn’t afraid to “sing” her opinions along the way. A few things about Agnes: • A sweet, loving girl who adores most people 💖 • Playful, goofy, and full of personality 🤪 • Loves snuggles and staying close to her humans 🛋️ • Talkative and known for her adorable singing 🎶 • Can be shy at first but blossoms with patience 💛 • Low shedding, with regular grooming needed ✂️ • She would do best in a home without cats 🐱 • She may be able to live with another dog, but they need to be calm and well mannered🐶 •Agnes can be a little spicy sometimes, a home with older children or adults only would be best Agnes is looking for a loving home where she can feel safe, spoiled, and part of the family. In return, she’ll bring plenty of laughs, cuddles, and unconditional love 🐾 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
Ella is the sweetest girl ever! She’s a 1-year-old, 30-pound Cairn Terrier mix with a scruffy tan coat and a loving personality. Although she might be a bit shy at first, she soon relaxes and settles into a calm life with playful dogs. She prefers not to be around rambunctious ones which usually reflect a more active lifestyle than she likes. But she’s no couch potato which you’ll quickly see as she climbs up a wired fence! A delightful girl! (posted 12/16/25, ME) ' ' Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **June 10, 2026, 4:25 pm

Story
Meet Bonita! Bonita is a 3-year-old, 8-pound Cairn Terrier with a sweet and easygoing personality. She is the ultimate lap dog and is happiest when she is curled up beside her favorite people or snuggled comfortably in their laps. Bonita is as lovable as can be and enjoys spending her days relaxing and soaking up affection. She has also shown a protective side, especially toward the new kitten in her foster home. She is a good listener and has a calm, gentle demeanor that makes her a joy to have around. Bonita does well going out into the yard to take care of her business and settles in nicely at night. Her favorite place to sleep is on the couch, nestled among the pillows, where she can relax in comfort. If you are looking for a devoted companion who loves cuddles and quiet time, Bonita may be the perfect match for you. Bonita is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $550. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

She is learning to climb stairs and is steadily improving her indoor potty skills using wee-wee pads. Brunson is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. Whether she is curling up for a nap in your lap, following you around the house, or showering you with puppy kisses, she thrives on human companionship and attention. Her playful personality shines through every day. She enjoys exploring, playing with toys, and showing off her adorable puppy antics. Brunson is social, friendly, and enjoys meeting new people. Her adoption fee is $800. Brunson is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
