Story
Hi, I'm Agnes! 🐾 I'm a 5-year-old tan and white Cairn Terrier–Corgi mix weighing 25 lbs, already spayed and ready for my forever home. I'm a full package of personality — I love to snuggle, chat away (yes, I'm a real singer!), and stick by your side like glue, though I do need some time to warm up to new people. I thrive in active homes where I can be your adventure buddy and play with my favorite toys, and I'll need an adult-only household or a household with teenagers and periodic grooming to keep me looking my best. 💛 My adoption fee is $350, and I'm looking for experienced owners who can help me continue learning my leash skills — come meet this energetic sweetheart! 🎾 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
Meet Brunson! Brunson is a 2-month-old, three pound Cairn Terrier mix puppy who is full of love, curiosity, and puppy charm. She is a fast learner and is making progress every day. She is learning to climb stairs and is steadily improving her indoor potty skills using wee-wee pads. Brunson is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. Whether she is curling up for a nap in your lap, following you around the house, or showering you with puppy kisses, she thrives on human companionship and attention. Her playful personality shines through every day. She enjoys exploring, playing with toys, and showing off her adorable puppy antics. Brunson is social, friendly, and enjoys meeting new people. She does well with children, making her a wonderful addition to many different types of families. As she continues to learn, grow, and gain confidence, Brunson is sure to blossom into a loyal and devoted companion. With a little patience, continued training, and lots of love, she will reward her family with endless affection and joy. If you are looking for a sweet, loving puppy to brighten your days, Brunson is ready to steal your heart and find her forever home. Brunson is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $800. Brunson is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Bonito! Bonito is a four-year-old, 11-pound terrier mix with a distinguished gray coat and an old-soul personality to match. While he may look like a wise little gentleman, he's still a young dog who simply prefers a slower pace of life. Bonito's favorite activities include relaxing in the backyard, keeping an eye on the birds, and soaking up the sunshine. He's happy to join you for a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, but he's not interested in long hikes or marathon adventures. This easygoing boy is the definition of low-maintenance. Bonito is both crate-trained and potty-trained, making him an easy addition to a busy household. After a short walk, he's perfectly content to curl up in your lap for a movie night or lounge quietly by your side while you relax. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys life's simple pleasures and doesn't demand constant activity, Bonito may be the perfect match for you. Bonito is being fostered in East Brunswick, New Jersey and his adoption fee is $550. Story
Adopt Marble! Marble is a 5 year old Cairn/Yorkie terrier mix and weighs about 12 lbs. He is an adorable but complicated little man. He loves fiercely and loves to kiss, kiss, and kiss you! He has a sweet comical little face and his bark is not much more than a squeak. While his bark is small, his appetite is big! He came into the shelter as a stray - although it is hard to believe this tiny guy survived even a day on the streets of NYC. He was pretty thin but is making up for it with gusto. He likes to chase around his little bouncy ball and will offer his belly for some tickles. He loves to go outside and for walkies. No matter what he is doing, he is so charming that you can't help but smile whenever you look at him! Marble is fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped and ready to start his new life with you! If you can open your heart & home to dear Marble, contact AmsterDog by call/text at (917) 689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt Marble at AmsterDog.org/application. Marble is currently being fostered in southern NJ. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Meet Rubble (rhymes with trouble) a scruffy 7 month old little terrier mix who was abandoned in a carrier by a dumpster as a scared little puppy. We thought about naming him Dumpster Fire since his entire life has been one giant one 🗑️ 🔥, but that sounds a little awkward to be out in your yard yelling randomly. Adopted by a very loud bush active family with a pack of young boisterous children that would not leave him alone, he defending himself the only way an adorable 10lbs puppy who looks like a stuffed animal but definitely didn’t want to be treated that way could 😖. And them his owners were determine to have this awful pup euthanized and out of their house ASAP! He’s learned to protect his space, food, and resources, is very hand shy and on guard but once he realizes you aren’t an annoying toddler trying to pull his tail and you aren’t going to scream at him for protecting himself from the wild pack of children, he melts into a fun playful cuddly puppy. He’s given us no issues at all and fallen in line with the other dogs, so we see great potential in him. He’s right at that age where there’s still time to turn his life around in the right environment and with the right force-free training and socialization, but he needs someone committed to rebuilding his faith that his person will defend him so he doesn’t have to. Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
