Ella is the sweetest girl ever! She's a 1-year-old, 30-pound Cairn Terrier mix with a scruffy tan coat and a loving personality. Although she might be a bit shy at first, she soon relaxes and settles into a calm life with playful dogs. She prefers not to be around rambunctious ones which usually reflect a more active lifestyle than she likes. But she's no couch potato which you'll quickly see as she climbs up a wired fence! A delightful girl! (posted 12/16/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. Peppermint came to us very scared and shy. She was not eating and not interacting and was shut down from all the changes she has undergone. Once she went into foster, she warmed up and started to feel safe, Peppermint came out of her shell. She gets along with other dogs and wagged her tail at the foster's cat! Her favorite food was discovered to be french fries! She is about 2 years old and just 11 pounds. Please help Peppermint find the loving home she deserves. Update: A few months back, Peppermint had tested positive for Anaplasmosis, another common tick borne disease similar to Lyme's. She has already completed her course of antibiotic and is doing great. Peppermint is currently available for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
