Meet Glen, a remarkable 8 year old, mixed breed weighing 27 pounds, with a heart as big as Texas. Glen's journey brought him to Camo Rescue's Houston facility in 2021, where he has been a beloved resident ever since. Glen is a dog full of love and energy, always ready for an adventure outdoors. His favorite activities include running around outdoors, splashing in water, and exploring every nook and cranny of his surroundings. He's potty trained and does good with leash walking. While Glen is a loving dog once he warms up to you. He comes with some challenges that require experienced handling. Glen is very kennel aggressive and doesn't appreciate correction. He struggles most during meal times as he resource guards his food. Glen's forever family would need to be understanding and capable of ensuring meal times are as safe and comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Despite these behaviors, Glen is deeply affectionate and fiercely loyal to those he trusts. For Glen to thrive, he would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the only dog, ensuring he receives the focused attention and structured environment he needs. His forever family must provide a secure and loving atmosphere, along with careful management of his behaviors. Spy is potty trained and really enjoys the company of other dogs — they seem to help him feel more comfortable and confident. He’s still learning that people can be gentle; sudden movements can make him flinch, so he’ll do best in a calm, adult-only home that understands his need for time and kindness. He loves toys, treats, and having a routine. He’s also working on his leash manners — he’s a bit of a puller, but he’s eager to explore and experience life outside of what he’s known. Cesar - Westi/Basset Mix - Male - 10 Years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit www.twyla.org Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mixed a West Highland Terrier with a Basset Hound? Neither have we, but here we are: meet Cesar! This unique looking guy is about 45 lbs, pretty laid back and very sweet with people. He loves attention, and gets his feeling hurt when he gets fussed at for being naughty, which he is at times: don't trust this one around cats or other small animals, he has a pretty high prey drive. Cesar is back with us after a few years as his family's health declined. Once a Twyla's Dog = Always a Twyla's Dog. Cesar gets along with other dogs, but he does very well as an only dog. He's a bit of an instigator when it comes to meeting other dogs, he has no fear of challenging the biggest male he meets, only to tuck his tail and sulk when he is corrected from being rude. He is not a candidate to go to the dog park. He is fine with kids, is house trained, walks well on a leash and is great riding in the car. Cesar is looking for a moderately active home where he is the only dog or can be the dominant dog in the house, he's pretty easy going and loves to lounge on the sofa or keep watch on the neighborhood at a sunny window. While he can't jump fences, he uses his rather hard head to probe the fence for weak areas that might let him push through easily - if it requires effort he's not the one for the job. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***
