Calico kittens & cats in Rome, Georgia

I found her on January 11th in the parking lot if Kroger, where I work. She couldnt have been much older than a few weeks. Shes one of the sweetest cats I've ever been blessed to have. Greets me every day at the door, and sleeps with me in my bed frequently. Can be a bit on the shy side, however. Tends to run and hide when I have company over. Shes never shown any signs of violence or food aggression. Tends to run away from loud noises and has always been the only animal in the house, so a quiet household is probably preferred, but I cant say confidently a second cat wouldn't be beneficial for her. Was able to litter box train her after one accident and never had an incident either, so shes quite clever!

Ellen was a feral stray who kept having her kittens at a kind person's house.  They were able to catch her and her 3 kittens to get them to safety.   Ellen's past has left her somewhat feral and slow to trust.   ##1632061##

Meet Pacolo and Picnic — a bonded brother-and-sister duo with hearts full of hope.These two sweet siblings traveled all the way from Tennessee in search of the safe, loving indoor home they never had the chance to know. Born to a feral mother, they were cared for by a kind homeowner, but no one was able to give them the secure future they deserved. While they were unsure at first, Pacolo and Picnic have learned that people can be kind. They’ve grown to trust us, and in their own gentle way, they’ve shown that they love us back. They enjoy the safety, routine, and care they receive here — but they are longing for so much more. They are ready for someone special who can offer patience, trust, and the chance to truly blossom.Pacolo and Picnic need a quiet, understanding home where they can stay together. With time and love, they will reward their family with the joy of watching them grow into confident, happy cats. Adam and his Sister Ana came to us from a neighboring shelter. They were not very well and close to being Euthanized. We wanted to help these two gingers have a chance. They have been with us quite awhile now. They are very bonded and have been with one of our fosters where they have gotten so used to living in their very own home instead of the kennel that had been ins once they were little kittens. We are adopting these two as a pair!!!Adam wants you to know this about him and his sister Anna:Hi, I am Adam and this is my sister Anna. She is extra special because she is a polydactyl, meaning she has THUMBS!! We are a brother and sister bonded duo who show that best things in life come in pairs. We spend our days playing with each other and I will even fetch toys. At night we curl up in a single, furry heap. I am the more outgoing because I take care of my sister. Anna is a bit more shy, but she will warm up once you give her a chance to get to know you. We've been a team since day one. No one wants to break us up since we are the best pairing since Peanut Butter and Jelly. Tater is a beautiful girl. She is very sweet. However, she doesn't care for other cats at all. Therefore, she has had to remain in a kennel at our shelter and cannot get out and mingle with the other fully vetted animals. She is getting a little frustrated in her kennel. She's hoping someone will see how lovely she is and come and meet her. She is an adult, but a young adult.
