Story
Jordy came into our shelter with her sister Peyton. They were found abandoned as small kittens. They were taken in and raised, but as they grew big they began to bully older cats that were already owned. They reached out to Floyd Felines to help find them a home. When they first arrived they were very frightened and did a lot of growling and hiding from our volunteers. This was to be expected since they had been through a lot of changes. But things have changed since they first arrived almost 6 months ago. We no longer feel that they must go as a pair, though that would be nice if they could. They have different personalities. It is possible that when they make another change there will be another adjustment period, but we know they can make change and when they are "themselves" they are a joy.quiJordy is the quiet girl. She is just happy finding a spot to lie down and take a nap. She sure doesn't mind it at all if you come up next to her and give her some strokes. She is happy just strolling around when she wants to, usually to find some food or a litter box or even a better place to watch out the window. Jordy is living in a shelter with many other adult cats and she really hasn't had a chance to get her personality to shine. We would love for someone to give this beautiful Tabby girl a chance and then get back to us about what personality emerges. If you'd like to meet this beauty, please contact us and we will be happy to set it up.

Story
After about a week of decompressing she began to pick her people. Other cats didn't bother her so much. If someone is sitting down, at a desk for example trying their best to do work, she will jump into their lap, put her paws around their neck and vigorously rub all over the person's face. The purrs will come and you can tell how much she is loving the interaction. However, then sometimes her "issues" come out.....not because she doesn't want to not be petted or loved, because she doesn't wan't it to stop. She will growl when the person tries to remove her, she may even nip, but not hard, just to say "no". However, if soft voices and slow movements are used, she will move and gladly sit beside the person. Yes, it is something to work on -- but It is amazing to be that loved by a cat!!! We will continue to work on this quirk.Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editSneezer had been a PAWS animals control with a constant URI. She was treated, but they couldn't get rid of her URI. We agreed to pull her and sent her directly to our vet. She was so very nervous, She had no clue what it going on in her life. She walked among the other cats, yet she growled to show her lack of understanding. She loves people to rub her, but when they first approach, she sometimes gives a hiss.

Story
Geraldine and her sister, Gwyneth came to us and were rather scared. We planned to send them on transport where they could live outside, then we found how sweet they were. Gwyneth has scarred eyes and we were very hesitant to have her living outside anyway. Once we began working with them, we found that they were very bonded and Geraldine helps her sister "see". Gwyneth isn't blind, but the scarring is fairly extensive and she doesn't see well. Geraldine is such a good sister. They both love to be petted and talked to, but are not used to being picked up. At this time, that is not their thing and it may never be. They've only been in a kennel since coming to us, but it is possible once they are in their very own home, they will love sitting on their owner's laps. We just don't know for sure. We are hoping there is someone out there willing two take these 2 bonded sisters and give them a chance at a wonderful life. We are going to do a special adoption fee for anyone willing to adopt these girls together. If you think you may be that person, please let us know and we will set up a chance for you to meet them.Adoption Fee: $150 for both Geraldine and GwynethCut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/editWoman with 22 cats showed up at Catapaluza and needed help. We were wrangled into it, luckily we had a few transports coming up.

Story
Update on Eeyore: He is out of his shell! This boy is one of the most loving cats in this shelter. He loves attention and no longer makes you come to him. He likes to be held, he gives hugs and kisses. He will sit beside you while you work (and try to stop you so that you can pet him). He loves a great lap. He would love to have a lot more attention that he gets here, even though we give him a lot, there are not people at the shelter all the time. He gets along well with other cats. If you want a cat that is a lover, this is your boy!!!!! Eeyore lived in a loving home, but there were also dogs that lived there. He didn't like the dogs and the dogs didn't care for him. We were able to take him in and give him a safe spot. However, he is not a shelter cat and he is not happy here. He is in a room with other cats and he doesn't mind them being there, but he really doesn't interact. He is waiting for a person to give him a safe home. He may do well with dogs, but not dogs who will mess with him, even if it is to play. He loves to be petted and people are his things. He can't wait until someone will give him a chance. He knows he is not a kitten and in his situation he is not the most outgoing, but we have reassured him that there is someone out there for him.Could it be you? If so, just let us know and we will set up a meet and greet.Adoption Fee: $150Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/edit

💙💙💙SIMON FLOYD💙💙💙Simon Floyd like many came to us with a story of brokenness. Simon Floyd was and remains very loved. His mom was homeless and living in her car with Simon Floyd. Someone saw them and asked us to give Simon Floyd a safer place to live.Simon Floyd is a joyful boy. He LOVES to tell you many things. Mainly, he’ll tell you that you didn’t feed him enough or that you needs more pets.Simon Floyd is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. Please come meet him, if you think he might be right for your family. He deserves a family and home ðŸ\x8F¡Also, Simon is still in his kennel because there are certain cats he doesn't get along with. He does feel safe in the kennel, but he may do best in a home where he is an only cat. We have also found that Simon loves to curl up in big fluffy blankets. It seems to calm him and he can rest easy.

Carrie is a very sweet girl but needs some time to settle in.  She had a little of beautiful kitties ( Cara, Cora, Calla, and Cade) in November and she's just finished nursing them.  We have separated her and think that some time away from the babies will help to calm her.   ##1941341##

Story
Tilly is a sweet and beautiful girl that came to us with 4 kittens and an ear that needed attention   Turned out to be an infected polyp - that has been successfully removed and treated and is all well now.  In spite of this painful ear condition, this sweet girl was a wonderful mom.  She and her kitties are all ready to go now.  Diptstick, Winky, Ski and Danna .   ##2142039##
