Story
This is Kagome - she will be 6 years old in August. She’s a super sweet cuddly cat. I am hoping to find her and her sister a home that they can go to together. They are pretty inseparable. They get along well but not sure they would do well with other cats. Neither of them like dogs.. I am only rehoming them since my son is allergic and I can’t keep them in the house or give them the love they deserve. They go as a pair.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact. Calypso is about 2 years old as of April 2026. She has spent a large portion of that time in confinement. She was trapped as an older kitten with the intent to be socialized for adoption. Due to a series of unfortunate incidents, the window to return her back to her outside home closed, so we decided to continue efforts to socialize. Recently she has been given free reign of her foster home, and she's getting so brave! She's gone from spending her days in the basement to spending almost all her time in the vicinity of her foster family. Her buddy Spokane, also available, gives her so much confidence. If she's laying with him, she will relax for pets. Otherwise she stays just out of reach, but that's ok! She's used to TV, seeing people walk by outside, and sharing the couch with humans. We think she has the potential to become a loving housecat. Do you have the patience and love to try? It won't be easy, but nothing worthwhile is! safehousepets.org Apply for this beautiful girl now at safehousepets.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125 While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours. If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at www.safehousepets.org/info/adoption and a volunteer will contact you promptly.  April 29, 2026, 6:52 pm
