Meet Kylie... the little calico princess with the softest meow!Don't let her shy first impression fool you. She'll happily accept hugs, pets, and a cozy spot beside you. She has the sweetest, tiniest meow that will melt your heart. She's not one to make a lot of noise! This beautiful little calico, with her peach, gray, and white patchwork coat, was heartbreakingly dumped in the countryside with her brothers in July. Thankfully, her days of wondering where her next meal or safe nap would come from are over. Now she's looking for a forever family. At 2½ months young, Kylie is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, bathed, dewormed, flea treated, and full of gentle kitten charm. Our county shelter is a kill shelter, so I am trying to find Kylie the safe, loving forever home she deserves. Willing to travel to meet adopter partway, if needed. Please, no declawing — it is painful and inhumane. If you’d like more photos of Kylie, please reach out to me. Serious, loving homes only. Thank you - Nicola

Here’s a softer senior-girl bio that fits Myrtle’s quieter personality:Myrtle is a beautiful 12-year-old tortie looking for a calm home where she can enjoy her golden years at her own pace. She is sweet, but a little more reserved, and she is not the kind of cat who needs to be the center of attention. Myrtle seems to appreciate a gentler approach and the chance to get comfortable before showing more of herself. At 12 years old, she has already left the kitten antics far behind and would likely be happiest with someone who understands the quieter kind of companionship senior cats can offer.Myrtle may not demand your attention, but that makes earning her trust feel that much more special.Apply at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.orgHer adoption fee is $75 and she comes spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, flea and tick prevention, and microchipped.
