Story
Meet Kylie... the little calico princess with the softest meow!Don't let her shy first impression fool you. She'll happily accept hugs, pets, and a cozy spot beside you. She has the sweetest, tiniest meow that will melt your heart. She's not one to make a lot of noise! This beautiful little calico, with her peach, gray, and white patchwork coat, was heartbreakingly dumped in the countryside with her brothers in July. Thankfully, her days of wondering where her next meal or safe nap would come from are over. Now she's looking for a forever family. At 2½ months young, Kylie is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, bathed, dewormed, flea treated, and full of gentle kitten charm. Our county shelter is a kill shelter, so I am trying to find Kylie the safe, loving forever home she deserves. Willing to travel to meet adopter partway, if needed. Please, no declawing — it is painful and inhumane. If you’d like more photos of Kylie, please reach out to me. Serious, loving homes only. Thank you - Nicola

Story
Meet Ziva!At around 18 weeks old, Ziva is spending her days in a foster home, where her foster family says she is every bit as sweet as she looks. She’s a snuggly little girl who loves affection and is more than happy to curl up with her people when it’s time to settle in.Being in a foster home has given Ziva the chance to experience everyday home life while she waits for a family of her own. She’s at such a fun age, still very much a kitten, but old enough that her sweet little personality is really starting to shine.Ziva’s adoption fee is $90. She will go home spayed, FIV/FeLV tested, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, treated with flea/tick prevention, and microchipped with her registration completed by us.If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate kitten with plenty of snuggles to give, Ziva may be your girl.Apply to adopt at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org. 🐾

Story
Meet the Punctuation Kittens! 🖋️🐾Every good story needs punctuation, and this litter is ready to help write your next chapter.Introducing Exclamation Point, Question Mark, Apostrophe, and Semicolon, four adorable 8-week-old kittens looking for homes of their own!Exclamation Point is a tuxedo boy who approaches life with exactly the level of enthusiasm his name suggests. Toys are exciting. Meals are exciting. Your shoelaces are very exciting. He brings energy and fun wherever he goes.Question Mark is also a tuxedo boy, but he's a little more thoughtful than his brother. While the others are busy diving headfirst into every adventure, Question Mark prefers to hang back, assess the situation, and then join in on his own terms. He's a laidback little guy with a gentle personality and a calm presence.Apostrophe is a handsome black boy who strikes a wonderful balance between playful and affectionate. He's always up for kitten antics but is equally happy to settle in for snuggles once playtime is over.Semicolon is the lone girl of the group and a special little survivor. When she was very young, her tail was accidentally injured by a lawn mower. Thanks to prompt veterinary care, she recovered beautifully and now has a shorter tail that only adds to her unique charm. Like the punctuation mark she's named after, Semicolon represents a story that wasn't over yet, and her future is looking bright.Together, these four are everything you could want in a kitten: curious, playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. Whether they're racing through the room, wrestling with siblings, or curling up for a well-earned nap, they make every day a little more fun.Kittens often thrive with a feline companion, so if you've been thinking about adopting two, this litter has plenty of wonderful options.Ready to add a little punctuation to your life? These kittens are ready to help you write a very happy ending. 🐾❤️Their adoption fees are $90 each or $150 for a pair and we highly recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other cats at home, are elderly, or have young children at home as Single Kitten Syndrome is very likely. This includes spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV test, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea and tick prevention, and a microchip we register for you.
