Story
Aurora is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Aurora is a quiet, shy cat. She will be 2 the middle of May. She gets along with other cats and children, but she needs a quieter environment. She likes to sit up high and cuddle with her siblings under the couch. She has been bullied by an older cat and has since been afraid to come out from hiding. If you are interested in Aurora PLEASE CALL OR TEXT 219-984-2482

Story
Buddha and Faye are sisters that have been together since their birth from the same litter! They are very friendly and LOVE love! I have fostered them for a year now, but cannot take them with me when I move. Faye has had seizures but since being medicated is healthy as can be. They are both declawed 😢and overweight (previous owner responsible). They have been living in a college home for a year now, but have previously lived in a house with a large family with 2 dogs. They are indoor, but will not run away given the opportunity to go outside. I also have a robotic litter box that I will include in the adoption. I am sad to have to give these girls up, and hope they can find a home that is fit for them!

Story
Oakley is the sweetest girl when she is given the love and patience she deserves. She’s been part of our family since she was a tiny kitten in June 2019, so this is an incredibly difficult decision. Unfortunately, she and my other cat have never been able to coexist peacefully, and I want her to have the happy, stress-free life she deserves. Oakley would do best as the only cat in the home, or with older, calm pets that respect her space. She has done well around calm dogs and is wonderful around all ages. She’ll come with everything she needs to settle into her new home: ask for details She loves to chase her laser pointer, curling into her favorite hiding spots, and snacking on dry food. She adores her water fountains, or will join you while you get ready at the sink for running water. Please reach out if you’re looking for a soft, playful, talkative, night-owl kitty with a big heart. 🧡

Story
Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
We found Moxie when she was about 4 weeks old, and she is currently about 2 years old. She has been raised with 3 other cats and a large dog. Even though she has been raised in a family environment with kids, she is still quite skittish. She is very playful when by herself or with one of the other cats but when in a whole group she hides. She is up to date on her shots and has been spayed.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sugar was a stray who found herself  pregnant and in need. Her foster took her in so she could safely finish raising  her babies. She has now been in her foster home for almost a year now.  She is spayed up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped. Sugar has really taken to the indoor cat life. She is sweet and loves her humans. She enjoys a good head scratch and attention  from her people. One of her favorite  things to do is lay in front of the window and watch the world go by. She does well with the children in the foster home, however  has not been tested with other cats or dogs. She would likely be fine with them as long as they are respectful  of her boundaries  and let her be the independent cat she is.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Miko! This gentle giant is around 2 years of age. He came to us as a stray so we are unsure of his back history.. but what we do know is that he definitely a friend to everyone! He is alittle timid and shy around new people, but once he does know you… he is nothing but a love bug. He would do well in a home with older children. He doesn’t seem to have any issues being around other cats and could possibly do well with dogs given slow and proper introductions. Miko is ready to be spoiled by his forever family…could that be you???
