Story
This is a sweet cat named Hermione. She lives in a home with a dog and one other cat. Unfortunately, having an energetic dog has caused extremely high levels of stress for Hermione. She is house-trained, however has been showing some behaviors of accidents outside of the litter box and heightened anxiety. Seeing her this anxious has us not feeling good about keeping her in this environment. She is shy and quiet but loves to cuddle up in bed with her humans. She has been well-cared for, up-to-date with wellness checks from the vet, no chronic health issues. She would do well in a home with no dogs. We will provide supplies such as cat litter and food to help with the transition

Story
Meet Nya! Nya is the of her litter kitty of her litter mates. She is almost 5 yrs old. She can be very timid at first and takes her time to settle but once she does she is quite active and social when she wants to be. To extremely as she enjoys her independence and space. She is very vocal too depending on the day. She was found on the side of the road with 3 of her litter mates in a box. Barely 4 wks old. Nya is beautiful and so sweet once comfortable with her surroundings. She loves all cats, dogs, and critters of all sizes. Nya is very independent and likes it that way. A home with other pets is preferred. Nya is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Brea was found struggling to survive at 6 months old on farm. She is a very sweet cat and loves to cuddle, but is very selective on who she likes and doesn’t like. She does not get along with young children, which is why we need to rehome her. She will get right next to the kids, but the moment they get loud or harass her she will claw them. She lives with 2 other cats inside the house, but will try to dive outside to attack any feral cats she sees. It takes her awhile to get used to other cats, and shes never been around a dog. She loves looking out windows and needs a quieter environment. She also will pee around the house if the litter-box is too dirty. She is 5 or 6 years old, does not play much but does like going after laser pointers.

Story
London and Carey are truly the sweetest sister duo you'll ever meet! Prepare for smooches: their favorite thing is giving you kisses to let you know how happy they are to see you. While they show interest in whatever you're doing, they're also perfectly content to just be by you. They are very social and adapt to new people and environments easily. They love cardboard scratchers, wand toys, wet food, and catnip. With her big, beautiful eyes and fluff, Carey will immediately steal your heart. She has the best butt wiggle to pounce, and she will jump two feet in the air to grab a wand toy. She will amaze you with her athletic prowess! London is the best girl. She loves to be right by your side and will give you gentle pats on the shoulder with her paw (without extending her claws!) to let you know shed like more pets. She enjoys a cozy bed. London has digestive issues. We're still working out the exact cause, but she's doing better on Z/D food. Both girls tested positive for a cat virus in 2025 called calicivirus. They are now recovered and not suspected to be contagious toward other cats. The adoption fee for London and Carey is $150 total! Apply at https://www.pepperspalscatrescue.org/adoptfoster

Story
Hello. This is a 4 year old cat named Smores. I got her in 2022 from someone that found a stray and had kittens. She is up to date on all her shots and vaccines and is spayed. She is declawed in the front, which was not a personal decision, but as far as I am aware, it does not currently affect her. As someone who was co-owning her with my mother it was hard to make decisions on my own for her which resulted in the surgery. I am very experienced on this topic and know what could be a result of this surgery and would also need someone who is experienced in this area as well and can take care of her appropriately. Giving her away is also not a personal decision of mine but my mother’s. We have recently gotten a new cat and they don’t get along well and we will be moving soon. I will be giving her litter boxes (she prefers 2), her food bowls and stand, and her carrier along with her as well as the remaining food she may have.

These cats are in Columbus, Indiana too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sugar was a stray who found herself  pregnant and in need. Her foster took her in so she could safely finish raising  her babies. She has now been in her foster home for almost a year now.  She is spayed up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped. Sugar has really taken to the indoor cat life. She is sweet and loves her humans. She enjoys a good head scratch and attention  from her people. One of her favorite  things to do is lay in front of the window and watch the world go by. She does well with the children in the foster home, however  has not been tested with other cats or dogs. She would likely be fine with them as long as they are respectful  of her boundaries  and let her be the independent cat she is.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Finley! This big boy is jam-packed with love, as well as a big heart! Whether you need a close companion to snuggle on the couch, or a sweet guy to listen to your day, Finley`s there. This foodie can be your perfect match during the holiday feasts, and maybe even help you clean off a plate or two! Finley needs a home with a female as he is not the fondest of men. Finley would also need to be the only cat in the house as he likes to try to assert dominance with other cats. We are unsure how Finley is with dogs so we recommend a trial period if you have dogs in the house to ensure he will do fine! He could also do well with being an indoor/outdoor cat, however we do recommend a closed catio for him! Finley is a SWEET boy who is looking for his forever home… could that be you??

Story
Meet Dr. Pepper! Dr. Pepper has came a long way since entering our shelter. She came in as a very timid and shy stray. After long cuddles and enrichment- she is slowly blossoming out of her shell. Dr. Pepper would do best in a household that is calm and easy going. Preferably with another cat as well! Dr. Pepper loves other cats! She may also do well with dogs given slow and proper introductions. Dr. Pepper is ready to say “peace out!” To the shelter life and ready to find her forever home!
