Story
I have had Dottie for the last 9 years, she is one of the best cats in the whole world. I am having to move for work and I can no longer keep her. I am really trying to find a good home for her and my other two cats. She is up to date on all of her shots, Dottie and Kins both have been spayed. Brutus has been neutered. Dottie is the main in the photo. I am making a listing for each cat but ideally I would really like to find a home that will keep all three but I understand that might be unrealistic. please let me know if you have any questions.

Story
My grandmother “willed” me her cat at her passing 8 years ago - reason being, of the possible close family members I was the only one who did not live on the country and so subsided her fear of Katie getting caught by a wild animal. Katie has her claws and enjoys the outside and will spend many hours outside lying around. She is about 12 years old, but has never had fleas or any other condition. She is still very playful and loving, but our doodle and her are just not best friends and at times he won’t let her in the sane room as us and chases her constantly.

Story
Hi my name is Bella! I am very loving and affectionate. I love everyone and other animals as well! I am born on 1/1/2016 making me 7yrs old. My mom is a traveling nurse and I don’t love to travel I prefer to stay in my humble abode! Making it a difficult lifestyle as a cat, I have need a person who would love to pet and love on me all day and doesn’t move from city to city. My type of day is me sitting in your lap being loved on all day!

These pups are in Shelbyville, Indiana too!

Story
Say hello to VW! Fiesty, Sweet, and Lovable are just three of the words used to describe this handsome guy! VW is a beautiful golden ginger cat with lovely markings and the sweetest golden eyes! He's just over a year old and was found as a stray with a broken pelvis by a "Good Samaritan." The cost to repair this severe injury wasn't going to be feasible, so it was decided that because VW is able to function without the surgery, he would be a good candidate for adoption to someone who is able to live their life alongside VW's special circumstances and be a loving and caring support for him. His injury will never heal without the surgery, but he gets along well with his slower abilities of climbing, running, and walking. When he first arrived in foster care he was on "cage rest" due to his injury and has learned to care for himself and all his grooming needs. He's a champion when using his litter box, and really appreciates it when his human keeps it clean for him. VW was fostered with 3 other cats and got along well with them! His foster mom also described him as energetic and outgoing with a high energy level. His favorite toy to chase around the house is a little pompom ball with a bell inside, and he has a super cute butt wiggle when he gets ready to attack his toys! His foster mom had this to say about him: "He absolutely LOVES his pompom ball! He'll get it going across the room and bat it back and forth like a soccer ball! I love watching him do that!" Because of VW's injury, it would be best if he were in a home with adults and teens who understand his need to be handled gently, especially when picking him up. It's also best if he lives as an indoor cat because of his slower ability to run and escape if needed. If you have a heart for caring for a wonderful boy who needs just a little TLC, please consider visiting shelbycats.com/adopt to begin the application process!

Story
A friend took Matilda in as a stray in summer 2020, and she was a kitten (maybe 2 -3 months old). I welcomed her to my home in fall 2021 due to no fault of Matilda's. She isn't especially cuddly during the day, though she sleeps with me and occasionally will lay on my lap. She's playful and energy levels are average for her age. We have another cat around 6 months older, and they aren't overly affectionate but get along. The issue is that Matilda will randomly reach out and scratch my 4 year-old with no warning. She does it to adults sometimes, but frequently with my daughter. She is not declawed so leaves a lot of scratches and draws blood. My daughter is having nightmares about the "mean kitty" and it's not getting better. So I've made the hard decision to rehome her. She's not otherwise agressive. She is due for basic vaccine boosters. No known health issues. Overall good cat, but my daughter's peace of mind has to come first.
