Story
Spooky is the coolest cat in the world, and everyone who has ever met her agrees. Spooky came into our care after she could not be released as part of a "catch and release" program in Indiana due to sudden vision loss during her spay procedure. Her name is Spooky because she died on the table, but was resuscitated and came back to life. While she woke up missing some of her eyesight, she gets around just fine, and most folks have no idea she is blind until I tell them. She can see shadows and bright lights from what we can tell, and does all the typical "cat" things like climb and jump off furniture and objects. She recently developed a seizure disorder that we medicate for. She has not had a seizure since, and the medication is only $7/every 3 months. We unfortunately have to rehome due to an upcoming move where cats are not allowed.

Story
Calico was born February 2018 She has been with me since being weaned. She is a typical calico cat behavior. Independent yet loving when she wants to be. She has been treated at Kennebunk vet there at the shelter. I am moving cross country and cannot take her with me. She likes dry food and gravy from any wet food. She will lick the wet food dry but will not eat it. Food is down all day. Does not overeat. She likes her water bowl on counter in bathroom. Does not like dirty cat box. Has never been outside. A housecat. Has never tried to escape. Loves her scratching post. Has never scratched furniture or wood. Always a post. She is double pawed in both front feet. Needs nail care but I cannot personally cut her nails She has a sister who has been with her all her life born 4 months before Callie. Same parents. October 2017 She is also advertised. Would like to see them go together if possible. Both extremely difficult when being caged.

Story
Hi my name is Canvas.  When I am put in an unusual or stressful situation I do my best to blend into the canvas!  I am a sweet little girl though and I bounce back quickly.  I am really a home body and would love a quite home where I can hang out with my family.  I will be fine as an only kitty but would also do well with other kitties.  I am being fostered with my 5 brothers and sisters so other kitties are definitely fine.  No doggies though.  I don't like them and I growl and hiss at them.  It is because I am scared and they are too big (even if it is a smaller dog).  I guess I am just not a 'dog kitty'.  When I am hanging out with my foster mom I love to run up against her and my little motor just starts going.  If you are looking for a little purr machine would loves to cuddle and be with you, then you have found her.  A nice quiet home where we can spend time on the couch watching TV would be purrfect for me.  You won't be sorry when you add me to your family.  I am totally vetted and ready to go to my forever home.  If you would like to be considered for my forever home, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE RERQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennesee but can be transported north upon adoption.)      January 8, 2026, 12:15 pm

Story
Casey is an absolutely gorgeous calico cat, her vibrant tri&#226&#128&#145colored coat as charming and unique as her sweet soul—each patch reflecting the one-of-a-kind companion she is. Abandoned in rural Tennessee with her kittens, Casey never lost her sparkle; she knows she's special, and she’s ready to show it. This playful young adult brings joy with her adorable floor-rolling antics designed to capture your attention, then transitions seamlessly into a devoted snuggle partner, padding into bed for cozy nighttime purrs that feel like pure love. Beyond her affectionate nature, Casey embodies that legendary calico 'cattitude'—a delightful mix of independence, spirited charm, and affectionate loyalty that makes her both entertaining and deeply connected to those she trusts. Fully litter-trained and confident, she would flourish as the only cat in your home or as a serene, wise friend to a young kitten. If you're searching for a cat filled with warmth, humor, and color—both in coat and character—Casey is ready to make your life brighter and more loving. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com for more information. Why Casey’s Calico Traits Shine Bright: Independent yet loving: Calico cats are often described as affectionate and loyal, while also valuing their independence—a balance Casey embraces beautifully.  Playful quirks and spirit: Known for their energetic, quirky nature—sometimes lovingly called “tortitude”—calicos like Casey are full of playful energy that keeps life lively.  Unique, one-of-a-kind charm: Just like every calico’s coat is uniquely patterned, their personalities often stand out too, each distinct and full of character.  September 17, 2025, 12:02 am
