Calico kittens & cats in Joplin, Missouri

Hello Hoomans. Thank you for stopping by my picture! My name is Kiki and I am a 5 to 6 year old calico, domestic shorthair, female cat. Yes, I know what you noticed first; I’m gorgeous, right? That’s what is known as calitude; being gorgeous and not being afraid to admit it. I came to Golden Paws some time ago when my owner passed away and there wasn’t anyone available to keep me. I love attention and being petted on. If there’s someone available to pet on me, or itch my chin, or rub my ears, I’m your girl. I do have an issue with my bladder. My veterinarian had to remove a stone from it, and I need a special food that keeps my bladder in check. The folks here at Golden Paws said that they would send all my special food with my new hoomans, at least as much as they have here on hand. I was adopted out one time, but was brought back because of my bladder issue. As long as I have plenty of water intake and my special food, I don’t think my bladder will be a problem. It will need to be checked on by my new Hoomans from time to time, just to make sure that everything is hunky dory. I also love mice toys, any kind of mice toy. I will play with them all day long if I have the chance. So go ahead and fill out an application and come on down for a meet and greet. I’m sure that once you get acquainted with me, you will fall in love, just like the folks here have done. Seriously, I am a great cat. As we go through life, we all get banged up a little. Tell you what, the folks here have been very good to me, but I need my own forever home and hooman again. Hello folks and a happy meow to you! My name is Fancy and I am a 1 year old female, domestic short hair cat. I was rescued by some nice people and brought to Golden Paws to find my forever home. I have been shy, timid and scared since my arrival at the shelter, although everyone here is very kind to me. I went through some rough times before that, and although I love being with other cats, I am still somewhat leary of Hoomans. For those of you who are not familiar with the domestic short hair, we are a mixture of many breeds. We are very popular worldwide and are generally adaptable, intelligent and relatively low maintenance. We come in many colors and pattern combinations. I happen to be a Calico, or Dilute Calico. We are generally friendly and very good with families, especially children. We also like other animals but, like all cats, we enjoy our independence too. I need a home with Hoomans who have the time and desire to show me the love, patience and understanding that will help me get over any fears from my past. Isn't that what everyone needs though? Anyone going to a new place, surrounded by new people, will need some time to adjust. I have a long life ahead of me and with Hoomans who will give me extra TLC and patience, I will be the best house cat and the best buddy ever. I have been spayed, I've had all my shots, and I'm ready to begin my new adventure. Well hello Hoomans. Thank you for stopping by my site today. My name is Piglet, and I am the sister of Pooh and Tigger. Like them, I am about 7 months old, a female, brown tabby, and I am looking for my forever home and hoomans. I, for one, am crazy about hoomans. People here also say I am sweet and terribly cuddly. I like to follow hoomans around anywhere they go. I have a little squeak I use when I want their attention.. I like toys as well, but. I would rather try to find a hooman to talk to and love on. I also get along great with the other cats here. I like to join them in whatever they’re doing, cuddle with them, and rub my face all over them as well. That means I really love them. I like to do that to my hoomans as well. I always want to help them with their work. No matter what the job is, I will be there to help them complete it, (or just supervise it.) The folks here at Golden Paws say I am just a little love bug and that people always fall for me when they meet me. Just someone who is really fun to be around. Hello Hoomans. My name is Duchess and I am a female 1 1/2-2 year old domestic shorthair black and white tuxedo kitty who is presently looking for a new furever home. I came to Golden Paws Rescue several months ago with my 10 day old kitten, Marie. I must tell you plainly, I was not exactly looking for friends when we came here. Look at it from my position; I was a young mother, with a new baby, surrounded by various bipeds. Where I come from, we’re a tad wary of strangers, especially when you have a 10 day old baby. Gradually, however, I learned that these folks were just trying to help both of us. I am now much more relaxed and look forward to seeing them each day. I now know that when I see them, I’m in for petting, and loving on and food. Cuddles from people who you know mean it, and good food brought to you regularly makes all the difference in life. One other thing I might point out about myself: I am drop dead gorgeous. Just look at my photos on the Golden Paws website. Doesn’t it just look like those colors were spray painted on by somebody? I remember when those photographs were taken, the photographer kept saying, “The camera loves you.” And how right she was. You know, I really can’t wait until tomorrow, ( because I get better looking every day!) Well, there it is folks.
