Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mochi – Mochi is a really pretty Calico girl, brown and white with orange sprinkled in. Although her torso fur is slightly long, her tail is very fluffy and doesn’t seem to match her body which lends her a unique look. Mochi is a little on the smaller side which adds to her cuteness. As a baby, she was very shy, and her loving family has successfully persuaded her to come out of her shell. Now she is a purring, rubbing little angel who follows her human mother around the house. She plays well with her siblings and cousins. She loves treats, and growls while she eats to ward off any pirates. She is about 4 months old. December 7, 2023, 8:23 pm

Story
Here comes Cordelia (b. 9/5/2023) a calico, who is ready for her second chance!  Cordelia suffered an injury to her tail and right hind foot resulting in her tail being amputated but that hasn't slowed her down one bit! She is a gorgeous calico who loves other kittens and is even curious about her other foster sibling, the dog. She is all kitten and likes her variety of toys but she will demand her snuggle and ear rub time from her humans as well. She knows her manners too as she is great about using the litterbox and uses her cardboard scratching post regularly!  The suggested adoption donation for Cordelia is $65, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $390,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Alter Agreement: If the dog or cat you adopt is older than six months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you. Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost. If the dog or cat is younger, than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice. If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##1859351##

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I found her in my apartment complex earlier this year. I took her in and she has lived with me since, and I was unable to find her owners. I had her chipped, and she was already spayed. She has not been and will not be declawed, and this is a term of her adoption. I am rehoming her because she has not lost her desire to be outside in the 6 months I have had her. She is friendly, kind, and sweet, but yearns to be outside no matter what I do. I am not sure if she just needs more room, other cats, or a fulltime human for attention. I live in a small apartment and am gone regularly monday through friday sometimes until 6pm. I spend time with her and care for her as much as I have time, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. She is very friendly with anyone I have brought over, and does not have any fear of people. She has not been around other cats, so I am unsure as to how she would be. She is fairly young, and as friendly as she is, I feel like it would not be a problem.
