MAY is a special cat that needs a special adopter. Found in the Ingles’ parking lot and brought to the SCHS when she was only about two weeks old, she was very sick. Her left eye remains cloudy and she sometimes has a bout of URI that's cleared with antibiotics. We wish we knew what May had experienced before coming to us. She is an energetic girl that plays rough (and when you least expect it); she cannot go to a home with small children for this reason. She wants affection only when she initiates it. She really could use other cats in the home, but they have to be able to tolerate her outbursts. She is currently in foster care and her very-experienced foster mom can share even more information about her. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. We acquired Cardi at Orange County Animal Shelter in NC. Cardi is about 8 years old. Looking for a lovable home with no cats, no dogs, and no small children. Cardi has a gentle soul, loves to cuddle and is very relaxed when being held. She takes a little time to acclimate to strangers initially. Since having children Cardi has started marking our floor, but we believe this is stress induced from small children (4 year old son and 11 month girl). I feel like a quiet home with plenty of love will suffice her needs

Hi, my husband died when we were in a head on car crash on February 12th.. I have been feeding these babies for a year but I can't stay in my home anymore..I'm completely heartbroken but I can't have them in the home I'm going to in 3 weeks..the orange kitty is very sweet and never refuses a pet..the grey one is she but she warms up quickly..she would be perfectly happy as an outside cat or a barn cat.
